peter capaldi is a great actor from what i've seen of him in the hour but i'm a little disappointed that it's not a woman especially after the whole BUT IT MIIIGHT BE A WOMAN GUYZ several times throughout the show.

Weird and wackiness is a big part of the show. They've not ruled it out but I think the next Doctor could well be a female Doctor

It just doesn't fit the role. I'd feel the same about changing a role held by females over to a male too.

well i disagree, the doctor changes his whole genetic makeup each time he regenerates there's no reason why it can't be a woman and people would soon enough get used to it just as it happens every single regeneration.

It would be possible the way the show is designed, i'm not debating that. I just feel it's not a role for a female.

^To be fair, he's an alien who can take any physical form, but always seems to be a white british man. :tongue:

 

I'm happy with the choice, looking forward to seeing him in the role. I was snooping around wikipedia and I noticed he was credited as WHO Doctor in World War Z.

Well, because it's a British tv show. Now if they wanted to have Will Smith be the Doctor, I'd be okay with that.
