^ Just a remix of No Line on the Horizon.

Oddly enough, I've been hearing Magnificent on KROQ a few times for a couple weeks now.

It's a good song that's not the best on the album, but should be great in a stadium show.

Though I expected "Crazy Tonight" first, which I still think is an inevitible single release.

I think Magnificent should've been the lead single, although I do sort of understand the thinking behind GOYB. After this it's "Crazy Tonight" and "Breathe". The only question is...in which order?

Yeah, I think I started to dig Magnificent when I thuoght about seeing it live.

I know they're going to do I'll Go Crazy...eventually, but I really wish they didn't or that they at least threw that out without a big who-rah.

i think breathe can be the best single from this album. its one of those songs that has this universal awesomeness for me. i really cant see why anyone wouldnt like it. i think its a far superior song to magnificent.

i hope breathe is given a good build up. u2 really can't afford to drop the ball too tremendously. magnificent is a sure fire hit, but it won't be too big. it doesn't have something that makes it really stand out. it's a very ordinary song - why its a single to be honest. its safe.

breathe is the type of song that i know will be a single, but i feel like it has this heart beat that the best u2 songs have. this thing that just makes it some incrediblely powerful. its really bono at his best on this album (along with moment of surrender for me).

the thing is...if u2 is actually putting out an album in a little under a year than they probably won't need too many singles from this album. i bet they'll put out "every breaking wave" before the album and during the tour, so that'll be there. it makes me think they might not have more than GOYB, Magnificent and Breathe.

Based on the way Rolling Stone (or was it Q or NME? I forget) described it, it sounded like an absolutely classic U2 song. Edge doing his thing on guitar.

I really do feel that their next album has to be a savior for them, and that they'll go to it quickly if need be.

NLOTH is just not doing well enough. I don't think U2 is on the decline at all. I think this album was just a misstep. That doesn't mean its a bad album, on the contrary I think it's very good.

The album just doesn't have the coherence of their best albums. It's all over the place. Hopefully their next pulls it together.

Ok, I've come here in a cry of despair...

Tomorrow is the sale in France for the Paris show and when the sales begins I'll be at work... ToT

So, I know I'm asking much but if any of non-french fan who have a pre-sale code would be kind enough to pass one to me, well, you'll have my eternal blessing and if you're want to go to France, I'll welcome you glady at home :D PM me if you're in a mercyfull mode! Thx guys!

Let's play a game of trying to find the 'cheap' tickets for Wembley

Cheapest so far i have found have been £80 for the slums. What happen to the promised cheap tickets?

Also ticketmaster is shite

Finally, booked :)

It was a choice of either £35 for the back of the stadium or £85 for the sides or £150 for stage-side tickets. As i'm cheap I went for the £35 tickets, which after ripoffmaster's various fees came to £45. And that's with unsecured post, the only way to pick up tickets.

Never-the-less I'm sure ticketmaster will fuck something up between now and August like they always seem to do

*goes to the sea-side for some sunbathing*

I can only wish for U2 to come to Singapore... it looks like they will be skipping us again!

Everyone I talked to says that if U2 comes here, it'll be EPIC.

Muse to Support U2

Muse will be supporting U2 on at least one date of their 14-city "360º" Tour. The following has been published on the IZOD Center's (a venue in New Jersey which U2 will be performing at in September) website.

QuoteBeginning June 30th in Barcelona, the tour will visit 14 cities across Europe before it launches in North America in early September.The tour features an innovative 360° design which affords an unobstructed view for the audience. U2 360° marks the first time a band has toured in stadiums with such a unique and original structure [...]

Although this has not yet been announced by Muse's management, its appearance on the IZOD Center's website can almost be considered confirmation. It is not yet clear if Muse will be supporting U2 on their European / UK tour. Share your frustration / joy in the comments.

:smug::cool:

I repeat. Freakin' awesome.

:lol::laugh3::D

HEY.. u following me???

heh. I really hope they bring back "bad" for this tour. As far I know they took a break from it throughout the vertigo tour, but it's a crowd favorite and I'm sure we'll see it back on the setlist.

As for songs off of No Line... I don't think we're going to see Fez/being born or Cedars of Lebanon on the new setlists. I also see "Unknown Caller" as being potentially problematic, as I have trouble imagining Edge managing the chorus and those complex guitar arpeggs at the same time. Then again, Bono could just sing it all himself, but it wouldn't be nearly as effective...
