Just discovered Snow Patrol are opening their show here :D

I'm waiting for the 20th to book tickets for Paris concert.

I just hope BEP don't open in Boston. That would be horrible!

This is unbelievable! I couldn't even get in to Ticketmaster's site the first hour and by then it would be sold out anyway so I had no hope. One last attempt...

 

Now I have the best possible seat (well...) the first night and two standing tickets the second night!

 

I can't believe it! :D

anyway I haven't seen a list with the opening acts yet, and I found out about them on the page of the italian website selling the tickets: "U2 Special Guest: Snow Patrol" :)

I'm an idiot who thought tickets went on general sale today for the UK shows :(

 

Instead there are next friday, the Friday I have off from work for a long weekend so does that mean getting up early on a day-off? :(

I hope tickets are generally more accessible due to the fact that they are playing larger stadiums. Getting tickets to the Vertigo tour was a pain in the ass.

Kaiser chiefs also announced on their site but dates are to be announced, BEP have nothing on their site, but I didn't look very well there.. didn't want to stay there too long :sick:

 

I also read about Glasvegas and Elbow supporting but neither have news on their website about it.

Just read about a second German date which will take place in Gelsenkirchen at the beginning of August. This concert has already been mentioned on the official site (for August 3rd), but disappeared very soon again. Press release will be held on March 19th. ;)

 

Oh and someone spotted a second Amsterdam gig (for July 21th) on eventim.de, but from one minute to another it disappeared, too. So perhaps Amsterdam will get in total 2 concerts. :)

I guess this time it's not a case to bee close to Italy, the "problem" is that they play here beginning of July while they'll be in Croatia one month later and I'm not sure Snow Patrol are opening all the dates here in Europe :thinking:

 

Well the only band to avoid among those is BEP and I have a feeling they will only open some US shows :P

 

@Larry: many cities are gonna get a double date (we have been unofficially confirmed about the second date in Milan), Dublin probably three, they just want to be sure to have the first ones sold out (:rolleyes: yes of course)

@bjaiken: it was a nightmare over here too for the Vertigo, but that was mainly due to the fact that the company selling tickets was completely fucked up and nothing has changed since then, which is ridiculous considering the amount of people asking for tickets, they could do 10 stadiums shows and them being all sold out..I still regret of being so young in 1993, they played 8 gigs here, it's never gonna happen again :bigcry: :bigcry:

Yay. Managed to get 8 field tickets for Amsterdam this morning.

 

Hoping for Elbow to support the gig(s) in Holland. :)

I'll probably go to U2 concert but I'll buy a cheaper ticket. It's quite expensive to attend their concert.:confused:

I know most shows will have some cheap tix ($30 I think). But with those I bet you'll be paying more for the audio than the visual if you know what I mean.

Im disappointed, the stadium they are playing in Vancouver, Canada. It has the worst sound ever. Im excited top see them, and I pray I get good seats.

Canada isn't really known for our great outdoor stadiums :P

Standing tickets are 55 Euros (wel 60,50 actually, including extra costs).

That really is a bargain, for U2 I mean.

 

Even Radiohead and Coldplay tickets are more expensive nowadays.
