Yep. I discovered them thanks to Chris mentioning them in X&Y era interviews as an influence (or notably in Toronto 2006 "God gave you style and led you higher/God gave you the music of the Arcade

Yeah I got into Coldplay first and then slowly started getting into Arcade Fire. Once I started to realize their similarities and that Coldplay toured with them during the LVL era, it made me become a

Yeah, I followed a path similar to yours. I am a big fan of VLV and MX (the "midplay" era, ahah) and when I discovered that Coldplay mentioned several times AF as an influence during that period, I st

so the only song i have leaked was Rocco. Lore sent it to me and she told me i had no choice :sneaky: I really didn't want to listen to the leak but loved loved loved it and now i feel i can wait for the release date, so i guess there is no need to tweet the set list on the 5th with the live feed! I have not been so excited for a concert in a long long time. and I got good seats !

The leak tracklisting was apparently wrong >.<

haha, you didn't bother to check wikipedia or the list we got before the leak?

haha, you didn't bother to check wikipedia or the list we got before the leak?

True yes haha, I totally forgot about that

Phew

The leak tracklisting was apparently wrong >.<

I don't get it....

haha, you didn't bother to check wikipedia or the list we got before the leak?

No. I don't really care tbh.

I retract my previous statement about the half light songs. The whole album is freaking awesome.

i don't like that much the new album to be honest. i guess Funeral and Neon Bibles are at too high levels.

maybe i have to try it again...

The Half Light songs have David Bowie written all over them in my head.

I really like both Half Life songs a lot! (they're moving up on my favorites for the album)

We Used To Wait = new best Arcade Fire song?

The leak tracklisting was apparently wrong >.<

The tracklisting on the leak I downloaded isn't wrong.

I like how they've come down from the springsteen/u2 plateau they were at for neon bible to the straight up indie guitar rock I've heard from the new album. The vibe from neon bible was great but non-sustainable. The big songs had similar chord structures running through different gimmicks, like the organ in intervention. By what i've heard of the new album it's a bit more down to earth and organic showing what the band can do with more straight up song writing.

^what song(s) do you like best?

from The Suburbs? My favourites are Modern Man, Rococo and Empty Room...funnily enough...

My favourite Arcade Fire song is No Cars Go.

cool!

At this point I've been listening to Rococo, Sprawl II, and both Half Life songs the most (though The Suburbs, Ready to Start, Empty Room, and We Used to Wait would be some of my favorites so far)

I think We Used To Wait is my favourite as well. Was also my favourite new song live.
