i guess they've really limited the number of preview copies they've handed out to the media. they've been smart enough to realise that the hype and anticipation around this album is big enough without any help from the music media.

We can't wait!!

It would be pretty cool if the album didn't leak. Either way, I'm probably just going to buy the album in a record store on the 2nd as I'm away next week and I don't expect it to leak this week. And if it does leak, it's not that hard to wait a week. August 2nd is so close already. :stunned:

I'd say yeah it'd probably start around 9pm, but that's just based off of most bands i've seen usually going online around that time.

 

Then again it might be slightly later. Looking at my ticket for the 4th it says 8pm, and that usually is when the opener goes on. So either way I'd say probably 9-9:30

The similar sound/construction of most of the songs is downright frightening. It feels like a completely different band at times, but because of that I'm more and more convinced that's it's going to be really great by the 10th listen.

Well the fact that they were mixed sounds promising. Usually around 20 are mixed if you're going to have B-sides in an album sessions. It's more common for 38 or so to be demoed but to be fully mixed... another album release soon could be a possibility. Certainly if there is some continuation of the 'suburbs' dynamic.

Maybe they just decided to mix all the songs before choosing the tracklisting :shrug:

Mike, where do you think they will sell the cd in the NY area on the day of the release? I'm a sucker for cd's, i mean i download stuff from itunes but i like to have the physical l cd in my hand. its cool cause i can download it to the hard drive of my car and stuff. and i want it the day it is released, still waiting to see if i can go on the 5th, its torture
