June 5, 200521 yr ummm...street spirit just happens to be one of radioheads best-ever songs. i wouldnt compare it to one of coldplays good "three-chord solo" songs...not same level sorry though i agree some radiohead fans are probably jealous of coldplays success, but that only makes sense as in a lot of peoples minds radiohead is consistently producing excellent music, yet have only been achieving average sales...(at least since ok computer)
June 5, 200521 yr i love street spirit, that's not the point. what those fuckers at the radiohead forums have to realise is that coldplay ARE NOT simillar to ANY BAND in ANY WAY. they are unique, and have given the music industry something decent to hold on to in an era filled with bullshit. and most of them listened to X&Y with a closed mind, anyway. the only sensible people on that forum that actually said the new album was decent because they didn't listen while listing down the artists coldplay got ideas from have been drowned out by idiots who are just looking for excuses to complain.
June 6, 200521 yr coldplay and radiohead are different for some reason,similar for others. i think than radiohead fans dont like to see a uk band having more success than radiohead,altough coldplay are not better than them.but anyway whos better then who..its an opinion,but those who ar ein music for a long time can tell that radiohead are better..! i enjoy some of the songs of the 2 first cd of radiohead and coldplay,like 8 songs from ok computer,same thing for x and y,but like all the whole album after that.lets see what coldplay will do,and i will tell you who is better
June 6, 200521 yr Bleeh, I hate arguments about who's better and why. Radiohead is a good group. I haven't heard many songs of theirs, but what I've heard I have liked. Coldplay is amazing. They're my favorite band I think all their albums are great (X&Y being the best...but it all depends on what mood I'm in). In the end, it's just my opinion. As long as I think Coldplay is the greatest band ever, it shouldn't matter what other people think, it's my opinion. Besides, this is a Coldplay board. Chances are if you're posting here, you like Coldplay. Let Radiohead fans bash Coldplay...they're only doing it because they have nothing better to do. They're both good bands, period.
