Sure, here you go:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI-G_pSn-18]YouTube - Coldplay MTV Promo[/ame]

He's just playing chords from the song. Asus2, Em7, D played open during the verse. The Chorus is G, A, Bm7 (just Bm in this version I think) x2 then G, Bm, D, G...G, Bm, F#m, G. They show him playing Bm at the 7th fret, but the end chords seem to be open.

Thanks very much Atenia!

They are great even playing on a bed in a hotel room...

Thanks!

Not sure if this has been discussed in this thread (46 pages is a lot to sift through), but is there a way we could get the tab all in one organized place, like maybe the Coldplay wiki page? I'm not sure if there's copyright issues or not, but it would be so great to have this wealth of knowledge well organized in one place.

I'd be willing to help anyway I could if its at all possible.

Cheers,

Brian

these tabs arent very good, so I wouldnt even look at them if I were you. I've done a few from viva la vida/prospekts march you should check em out.

heyah, i'd need the Lead Guitar Solo after the chorus and generally the part after the chorus (end bit...) of A Rush Of Blood To The Head from live 2003

rest is pretty easy i suppose (at least i sound extremely close)

and of course the lead guitar for green eyes

Here you go Princesanji

A Rush of Blood to The Head

BEGINNING - with Slide (Reverb/Delay (for tone)/ Distortion)

e--------------------5------------------------5---------------------5----

G--2---/10------/11-----\10----/11*-----\3-

D-------------------------------------------------

A-------------------------------------------------

E-------------------------------------------------

*You'll have to angle your slide as you have seen me do in my video, it's very important or it won't sound correct

This is the part after the 1st Chorus =

(Distortion and Delay/Reverb)

e----------------------------------10---------

B-----------------------------10-----10/----

G----2---------9/12----12\----------------

D---------------------------------------------

B-15--------17-----------------------------------------------------------------

G-----------------17/ slide slowly down to 12th fret-----------------

D---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

E---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where Jonny does that funny slide thing just slide up the fret board from the second fret up to the ninth and make some noise, no pick needed

B---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

G--------------------------------------------------------------------------2/10*

D-------------7/5-----------7/5------------7/5-----------7/5--5/2----/10*

For Swallowed in the sea:

the tabs sugested by princesanji sound great^^ Thanks!

but the interlude i think it goes like this:

e---------------------------------------------------|

B---------------------------------------------------|

G---------------------------------------------------|

D-11-11-11--6--2-2-2--6--9-9-9--6--4-4-4-|

A-11-11-11--6--2-2-2--6--9-9-9--6--4-4-4-|

E--9--9---9---4--0-0-0--4--7-7-7--4--2-2-2-|

sorry, no! frankly, it's hard to seperate, but you mixed the guitar with the bass line! not bad though.

if you'd like to play the bassline with the guitar, then do the powerchords over the e string like the following:

E|-2-2-2-4-5-5-5-4-0-0-0-4-7-7-7-4 repeat 3 times then

.........

E|-2-2-2-4-5-5-5-4-0-0-0-4-7~-7~ (let the last 2 7-powerchords ring, each for the length of 2 strokes before - i suppose these were 8th notes, so the last ones are 4th)

aah, whatever :D

Sorry if this is really old..but can someone help me out with the chorus? I still haven't "trained" my ears and honestly I can't hear the acoustic guitar play behind the electric guitar..

Actually, I'm not even sure how the strumming or which chords Chris plays when the electric takes over.

If someone could make a video or something with these chords, that'd be great.

Thanks in advance if any help is given :)

Edit: Oh yeah, even if this is for the acoustic version of the song, I'm sure he plays it the same in the electric version...I think hehe

This guys plays the chords pretty perfectly and should give you a good idea how on the strumming pattern :)
