Jonny's electric part for Shiver would be great also =)

The coldplayers should slow down their songs btw.. And the lead in shiver is 6/8 6/9, not 6h8 6h9, sounds like they recorded the lead straight from a guitar-pro tab.

and jonny uses standard tuning during yellow. The chorus is...

e-16 ..................e-14

a-12 and then... a-12

Hi,

I saw a video of "the scientist" with Chris playing with an acoustic guitar, and he play like this

Tuning E A D G B F (play the first string always with the thumb)

6 8 8 7 6 0 Tell you I'm sorry

1 3 3 2 1 0 You don't know how

(1 3 3 0 1 0) Lovely you are...

6 8 8 7 6 0 Nobody say...

1 3 3 2 1 0 It's such a

1 3 3 0 1 0 shame for us...

8 10 10 9 10 0 ...hard, Aw take me back to the

10 12 12 10 10 0 Start...

This is already posted in this thread. Years ago..... And the tuning is EADGBC, not EADGBF. ;)

Errm I have a request... Could you help with Jonny's part in High Speed? I've seen some tabs for it but it sounds as though Jonny is playing many many more notes than that. Or are they just effects?

...here's a link to a power tab that more or less is like the book version. Unless you have really high reverb go ahead and and play the higher intro notes twice and don't fret too much over getting the verse section exactly as they show it, just move the up the neck in rythm and use the song as a guide, there's a lot of nuances these tabs often leave out.

okay... here's chinese sleep chant. http://www.911tabs.com/link/?5479206

the chords are right. He changes it up at the solo but I think the solo chords are just the same as the first chorus. Also, if you watch Jonny live he doesn't slide up and down the B string on the solo, he stays mostly on the high frets, so for accuracy just switch strings.

strawberry swing is trickier, don't know of a full tab but there are chords and an intro...

http://www.911tabs.com/link/?5469143

http://www.911tabs.com/link/?5469171

as for lost... the chords are em, C, G and D

the chorus bit loks like

e-----------7---------------------

B--------8----------------10----

G-----7-----------------7--------

D-10------------7--10----------

A---------------------------------

E---------------------------------

and the solo is...

B-5-5-5-15s17-17-17-8s7-7-7-12s15-15-15- 7s5-5-5 etc.

I'm having difficulty with Jonny's part during Shiver live, taking the Glastonbury 2000 video as reference. More specifically, the bridge and last chorus, from 3:50 - 4:40.

[ame=http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=jB40VWiLnOs]YouTube - COLDPLAY Glastonbury 2000 Shiver[/ame]

I've seen numerous tabs for the song but I don't think they sound correct. There's a lot of chords tabbed out for the chorus, but Jonny doesn't seem to be playing many chords in the live vid.

Sorry if I don't sound very coherent, I'm new @ the guitar. Hope someone could help :nice:

okay the bridge starts with jonny playing the same chord as the intro...

xx99(12)(12)

when chris sings "I'll always be waiting for you..." he plays the following pattern 3 times.

xxx(11)(12)x

xxx(14)(12)x

xxx(13)(12)x

before sliding up to xxx(16)(17)x

after that it's chords that are probably best learned in rythm with the lyrics...so with the following lyrics play the corresponding chords...

"..you.." xx987x

"...see..." xx(11)(11)(10)x

"...don't..." xx(11)9(10)x

"...see..." xx(11)9(12)x

"...me..." xx989x

hope this helps.
