Two weeks ago I relocated to another city.. and as I walked through the streets

to get to know my new home I discovered the shoes.. I didnt know the story of

these shoes cause nobody here could tell me something about the shoes!

But I googled now and I read in an article that they hang there since 2 years! :)

 

Once a shoe store wanted to advertise with that. The store doesn´t exist

anymore but somehow people started to throw their old shoes over the lines.

Neither the city council nor the owner of the shoe store took them off. No it´s far

from it! The council´s enjoy the shoes as well! It is art and make the street look

better. The shoes have cult status in Flensburg. So they will hang there forever

and nobody will take them off. So if you ever come to Flensburg go to the

"Norderstraße" and have a look at this streetart! :wacko:
