i just used point-and-shoot camera for that and not SLR. you can't just say that it's just about filters as any one can use photoshop filters but if you're using crappily shot photos (composition, point-of-view) i bet the result won't be even be average.

Ah, ok finally I have been able to upload my pictures from my Nikon D5000 onto a computer! I got the camera for Christmas and was super excited because now I can take relatively decent pictures. But my computer's memory has been full for the longest time so I haven't been able to upload them. They've just been piling up on my memory card. But now my mom's let me use her new computer ( with the memory practically empty! ) to upload my pictures. After uploading and some editing, here are my favorites:
