December 4, 200718 yr :P The first one was a tad better. The good/bad difference is a bit smaller than it is between Hot Fuss and Sam's Town. (Idk if you like the Killers...but you seem like the kind of guy that might...) i do like the killers.... hot fuss is one of my favorite albums ever, but i didn't love sam's town... i got Favourite Worst Nightmare tonight for Hannukah, and i'm listening to it right now... I'm only on the second song right now, but its good so far.:D
December 5, 200718 yr i went to see them last friday (my second time) best day of my life! 1 row in front of alex i took pics with matt and nick and spoke with em....cute nice ppl i almost took a pic with jamie but im too shy :laugh3: and the best of my life for sure oh!here is a new forum i made....for the spanish speakers ;) i opened yesterday so is still very poor http://arcticmonkeysspain.multiforos.es/index byeee:D
January 12, 200818 yr i love theeeem so much! they're my favourite right after coldplay! i couldnt go to their concert here in october.. a friend called me, and i listened to a certain romance on the cell phone! it was perfect!
January 12, 200818 yr 1st album is great, 2nd album is rubbish This is just simply wrong. They developed so much as musicians between the two albums their B-Sides are better than most bands albums I fully believe they will be one of the all time great bands and will continue to releases albums full of genius
January 12, 200818 yr i honestly cannot understand how one cannot like "favourite worst nightmare"! might not be as diversified as "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" was, but there's tracks on it that are completely genius. the thing about the b-sides is true! b-sides such as "The Bakery" deserve to be put on an album, really. ah. i like arctic monkeys! :) hoping for many many many many many more albums to be released in the future!
January 12, 200818 yr The great thing about the B-Sides is it's not as if one track stand out as everyone's favourite it seems everyone has personal preferences. What if You Were Right First Time, Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts + Plastic Tramp are probably my 3 favourites
January 12, 200818 yr right. my top 3 would have to contain "7" (was it even a b-side?), "The Bakery" and "Temptation Greets You Like A Naughty Friend". i even liked the covers they put on the "Leave Before The Lights Go Out" single. :)
January 12, 200818 yr This is just simply wrong. They developed so much as musicians between the two albums their B-Sides are better than most bands albums I fully believe they will be one of the all time great bands and will continue to releases albums full of genius It might be wrong in your eyes, but it is my opinion. If you don't like my opinion then fine you don't have to like my opinion, that's a benefit of living in a 'free' world. And my opinion is that there is no single track on the 2nd album I would want to listen to on it's own, the first album was a wonderful piece of workmanship, the EP & leave before the lights were wonderful as well, but for some reason the entire 2nd album stuff doesn't feel right with me.
January 12, 200818 yr I didn't say it wasn't your opinion ffs I hate when people make you say 'in my opinion' before everything that is an opinion, I should think it was fairly obvious that I wasn't stating fact
May 7, 200818 yr Um, I heard Brianstorm today. Did a little dance. What's the news for these boys lately? I do hope they tour again.
May 7, 200818 yr Um, I heard Brianstorm today. Did a little dance. What's the news for these boys lately? I do hope they tour again. They have some new stuff recorded, they've decided to sit on it for a while, mainly so Alex could get out his 'the last shadown puppets' release. Id expect a new album this year.
June 13, 200818 yr standing next to me video finally (2nd single) The Last Shadow Puppets - Standing Next to Me http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=lc_E6TI88Z
January 28, 200917 yr NEW SONG [ame=http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=V6Ni3tOHUb8]YouTube - Arctic Monkeys - Crying Lightning (Live Sydney, January 2009) NEW![/ame]
January 28, 200917 yr I'm kinda avoiding live recordings other than "Put Me In a Terror Pocket" which is awesome.
February 24, 200917 yr Yeah, I heard the new Recordings at the BDO, they sounded OK, but that was only one listen. Cant wait until Mid 2009.
February 25, 200917 yr Crying Lightning sounds different yet awesome. so i'm really looking forward to their 3rd album. alex said august to september is a realistic date for release. so i'm sure a single or two should be out before hand.
February 28, 200917 yr Looking forward to the next album. :D They won "Best DVD" at the NME awards by the way. Glad they did because the director, Richard Ayoade is a legend!
February 28, 200917 yr Sorry Justin :( Last Shadow Puppets were worthy winners of the best video award
March 1, 200917 yr do you guys think that the Josh Homme influence will lead to a slightly heavier album this year. i cant remember the last band to get heavier as they go on in their careers. most bands go the opposite way, getting lighter/softer with every record.
