Does anyone have a good quality mp3 of 'I Wish'? Any kind of version, be it live or studio or whatever. I seem to have misplaced my only mp3 copy... blah. I'm a mess!

Only one I have is that one from the Rory McConnel (or something of the sort!) session. Quality's awesome, I can up that for ya if you want it. That's the only one I've heard so far though :(

I'd appreciate it greatly if you could, I'm pretty sure that's the version I had as well :D

I should sum up this gig with just one word, and I think both the band and the horrible audience will agree: awful. I’ve just come back home quite depressed. In Rome the so-called “indie” scene couldn’t care less about Babyshambles, because the majority of people here is not simply interested with this kind of music and see Pete as just another tabloid puppet. In fact all of my friends, at least those who play in bands and are into rock music, especially from the UK, don’t know a single Libertines or Babyshambles song. I “discovered” Up the Bracket in September 2005 because one of my mates had just come back from London carrying the last NME’s, which was filled with Pete references, so I had a listen to the CD, just completely fell in love with it and bought everything I could find, including both Babyshambles and DPT discs (and DPT have been a huge disappointment anyway). The casual listener knows Pete just because he’s Kate Moss boyfriend and doesn’t have a clue about the music he’s written. This leaves space for those who listen to Babyshambles like they were Boyzone, or because somehow they’re fashionable, and those who go to a Babyshambles concert like it was a football match. They can’t burn the seatings or physically fight with someone so they find some other way to express their frustration, like throwing things right in the head of the drummer. All in all, music comes as the last thing. To some extent, this phrase applies to the band, too. Adam and Drew are quite simply the only ones to actually play their instruments caring abouth the sounds they’re producing, and of course I’m not alluding to the second part of the concert. It’s great to see Pete be himself, but I can’t help but think of the time when Babyshambles were a joy to listen to, as well as watch, and Pat was the guitarist and on top form.

 

Anyway, everything just went really bad when some prick threw something I couldn’t identify right on Adam’s head during Sedative’s long break. He collapsed on the ground, Pete went crazy, took a mic stand and began to hit the crowd and point to someone I REALLY hope has been identified. The band retired for several minutes, in the end they came back and played two more songs before thrashing the stage. The saddest image I can think of, and the very last thing the audience has seen of the band, is Drew hitting the kick drum with his bass before throwing it on the ground and leaving really pissed. I feel so sorry for the band, it will be no surprise if they won’t play in Rome no more.

I just don't understand people these days. Peter, Drew, Adam or Mick aren't pets in a fucking zoo. And throwing things on them are just wrong..

I am just so fucking pissed I don't know what to say. ADAM IS A GOOD GUY. He's never been one of those hang-oners and he's never done anything to hurt Peter. Wtf, he's probablly the most cleanliving of them all and he's a fucking amazing drummer.

As for DPT being a disapointment, I can understand that some people think so. But those are the people that wants some kinda masterpiece with every fucking song. And sure, DPT probablly could've done the record even better but now they didn't and it's still fucking great and (this is just from looking at the DVD gigs) THEY ARE KICK ASS LIVE. And that's really all that's important cause all of these bands are supposed to be enjoyed live.

I've just talked to some friends in Rome... they said that they heard the photographer saying during the show that he wanted to punch Peter to start a fight, then they follwed him to the hotel and he headbutted Peter and then took some photos while Peter was bleeding on the floor...!!

I don't know what to say... it's a shame!
