I'm not quite sure actually.. He says in the WTFISPD-doc that they're 'not the most clean living people' but from what I've understood I'd say Drew is more for the booze then the drugs. I defenitly trust him and I can't see why we shouldn't. Looking at that clip where Kate does coke not one from the Shambles is doing it so in my mind: Drew's clean, Adam's clean.

We're just really bored most of the time. Or at least I am! haha :laugh4: Have you given 'Up The Bracket' a listen, or is that what you mean when you say you got the Libertines? Or just their self titled second album? Both of them are EXCELLENT. See, I always tell people to just give them an honest listen and see what happens. I'm a huge fan of all kinds of music, but when I put on the Libertines it was just... they're really some of the best (if not THE best) stuff I've ever discovered. I think that should say a lot ;)

yeah just the self titled album i have. will have to get the first album soon. they are so good. i just don't know why, but they are. and i've introduced a couple of mates to them too and they reckon they're not too bad either.

I absolutely love 'Up The Bracket', but the self-titled is probably the one I'd have people listen to first if they're not used to that..... I don't know.... would you say "rough" sound? Don't think that's exactly right, but people maybe coming from a band like, say, Coldplay would probably think they're rough ahaha. 'Libertines' has a slightly cleaner sound, I'd say. But 'Up The Bracket' made me really love them. :nice:

 

 

They really have that ability to grab you, too. The same goes for Dirty Pretty Things. But I guess Libertines just have that extra.... I dunno, the dueling leading men makes them so interesting to listen to that a lot of other bands lack. And it wasn't a facade, it was genuine "dueling" ahaha, not some sort of gimmick, like some other bands might do (nobody pops into my head, but I know they're out there aha)

But seriously, Josh if you loved the selftitled album you'll defenitly love the first one, it's really really amazing. More rawness and chaos in it in some wierd way. And there isn't one song you ever feel like skipping, it's just a kickass album.

 

THE DVD IS BLOODY BRILLIANT. Seriously. It should be manditory for everyone in the world to have it. It's hot and amazing and the angels you can choose and the bonus features and the taking of chlotes... EVERYTHING IS BRILLIANT. (I am totally in love with Gary's green pants, they kick ass!)

Hey, I was just listening to 'Radio America'. Does John sing backing vocals? I'm pretty sure he does, especially the "take myyyy love" etc etc part. I was just thinking how I wished John sang some more songs, but I don't think Peter made it a secret (in fact, he didn't) that he didn't TOTALLY respect John. Or respect him at all, for that matter :thinking: Don't think he'd allow that. Too bad, though... :\ But yeah, then I heard the backing vocals and was just thinking....

I think he does, it doesn't really sound like Peter or Carl's voices... It's a lot softer and yeah. I think he does.. Wow, I'd never though about it before. I've always assumed that it's just Carlos and Peter that sings. Bad me!
