March 28, 200620 yr Come on, U2 plays for 2 1/2 hours and have been touring since nov 2004, as well as the rolling stones. They are old. Coldplay are young. They should have enough energy to play for 2 hours.

March 28, 200620 yr What you FAIL to notice though is that Coldplay is not NEARLY as established as U2. I gaurantee you, that if the boys were to play for 2 + hours people would get bored. Only established, older bands play sets as long as that (Paul McCartney, Elton John...). I think people seem to forget the Coldplay only has 3 albums out and only has a little under 6 years under their belts. Not nearly everyone filling up that arena is as hardcore as us. PLUS, If you'll also notice, U2 doesn't have near a rigorous tour schedule. They can afford to do that. Really guys, performing takes ALOT out f you, under hundreds of hot lights... especially someone as twitchy as Chris. Don't critisize them about ste lengths. May next album they can up it to a 2 hour show, but right now they're still trying to establish themselves as a band worthy of the U2 mantle.
March 28, 200620 yr hopefully next album they can extend the set length.... but their schedule this time around is pretty rigorous and hectic. i can only imagine how tired they are but i think it means alot that they are doing a really extensive tour in the US especially to everyone who sees them out on tour.... they are almost stopping everywhere in the us lol. go them
March 28, 200620 yr I think I might be the only one who actually likes this video... I think it's hilarious! :) BUT no more about the video - too many threads as it is. YAWN! ;)
March 28, 200620 yr I love it too! It's so funny :laugh4: And the boys look incredibly hot :sweatdrop: But I doubt it will never be one of my top faves...
March 28, 200620 yr yah... its like when you get graded in school. the vid i think gets a b. good effort, just not top notch.... lol
March 28, 200620 yr The tour, the tour, the tour, the tour, the tour, the tour, the tour.....CHANGE THE FUCKING TOUR!!! :furious:
March 28, 200620 yr But Bono and the Rolling Stones don't do 100 yard dashes during their concerts, do they? ;) :P But I do think Coldplay could go on for 2 1/2 hours. :P YES, the Rolling Stones really do. I saw them in a football staduim, and Mick Jagger runs around like no tomorrow and he's ~62. He ran all across the field and everything. I think Coldplay should def. play for longer. I saw Paul McCartney ( ) and he played four FOUR hours. Now THAT was a good show.

March 28, 200620 yr I would make them not make vids like THP, I would make them change up their outfits a bit, I would make them naked on stage, jk, well kinda, I would make them sound like they did before they made it big. Like in Bigger Stronger, and Murder.
March 28, 200620 yr I would have them use pianos on their next album!! (if Chris was serious, anyway :) ) I wish their shows were longer, that THP vid was better, that Chris keeps his hair the way it is, that their next album comes out ASAP (or new material in any form, for that matter), and that I meet Chris Martin some day. those are more wishes than what I dont like, but still. you can see my point.
March 28, 200620 yr I hope they would release a cd in the 2007, Another thing I want to see is more songs in their albums, cause 12 or 13 is not enough.
March 28, 200620 yr yah i am a big fan of cds that have like 15 or even more songs... you just cant get enough of em you know?
March 29, 200620 yr Coldplay have said many times that they think anymore than 12 tracks on an album is way too long. I tend to agree. A long album, not matter how good, just seems to be a bit too tiring and tends to lose it's thread after so long. It's almost like the band just threw anything they recorded on there. Coldplay are notorious perfectionists and go to great pains on picking only the best songs to put on their albums. (Didn't they have 20 FULLY RECORDED tracks for X&Y?) Although, with songs like A Whisper, High Speed and The Hardest Part, it's kind of hard to tell. :D But still!
March 29, 200620 yr Come on' date=' U2 plays for 2 1/2 hours and have been touring since nov 2004, as well as the rolling stones. They are old. Coldplay are young. They should have enough energy to play for 2 hours.[/quote'] The Rolling stones and U2 are bands of superheroes. they can sing, and play for hours....its quite supernatural. Coldplay is human, so they get tired.. i dunno, i guess they could be a bit more longer, but not a whole lot more.
March 29, 200620 yr ^Nahhh, Coldplay are superheroes too! :laugh4: Their concerts are shorter because U2 and The Rolling Stones have a tonnn of albums and Coldplay only has 3. 90 minutes is a good length for a band in its third album.
March 29, 200620 yr ^hehe, yeah, the less obvious way of superheros. they dont dress funny or have nicknames. that might be true. 3 albums dont cut it for a 3 hour concert. maybe in 10 years we wil have longer concerts....cant wait. :laugh4:
