Gwyneth Paltrow & Mark Ruffalo: "Thanks For Sharing"

Kicking off their day bright and early, Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo were spotted filming scenes for “Thanks for Sharing” in New York City on Tuesday (October 11).

The “Shallow Hal” hottie and the “Shutter Island” stud were situated in Central Park for this particular scene, as they shared several laughs together with Miss Paltrow stretching out her gams.

As for the movie, the comedy centers around a support group for sex addicts who try and beat their addictions and form meaningful relationships for the first time ever along the way.

Due out sometime in 2012, “Thanks for Sharing” also stars Josh Gad, Tim Robbins,

Joely Richardson and Pink.

They look good together. Really really good. I'm excited for this film.

Completely agree.

I haven't been in this thread for days, and I'm shocked at what I see. I don't care how mad a private message makes you, it it totally rude and immature to post it publicly in this thread. What in the world would possess you to do that?

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. The poster and I have only had a couple of exchanges on this thread. 2x she's found my views stupid. I would never write such a message to anyone, publicly or otherwise, so I was very shocked to get that in my inbox. I'm not obligated to be nice to some one that nasty.

But really, was it mature of you to bring this up again when everyone had already moved on?

This is my last post on this subject. If you want to take it privately that's fine.:)

Mark seem like an unlikely ladies' man until you see him perform. I've watched Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon several times and can never get tired of the chemistry between the 2. I hope it's the same with Thanks For Sharing.

:stunned:

My two cents on this as well then: I agree with Tash and austengirl. It is not kind at all to make a Privat message (PM) public like that, even if you think that the PM

is rude/shocking/insulting or whatever. I would never do that. If the PM bothers you, then you can always report it to the mods. Just like austengirl I wonder as to why you did post the PM in this thread.

Then you say that you are not obligated to be nice to someone that nasty, but I think displaying PM's out in the open like this is a whole other level than just not being nice. You are not crossing the line, that's true, but on the scale of right and wrong I consider this dangerously close to wrong. I think it should be said by a few people that posting PM's in public is not nice. It's partly because when people send you a PM it is usually because they don't want it to be seen by other people. Respecting that is a thing that you can do you, even when you think that she hasn't been respectful.

Second cent :P

I disagree with you saying that austengirl is immature for bringing this up again while everyone moved on. First of all, not everyone moved on. I was still thinking of replying to the matter but didn't get there yet. Now after that post, I do feel like replying. I wouldn't be suprised if this is the cause for more people too.

Also, the thing happened just a few days ago and not everyone checks this board daily. For many the last few pages of this thread are still new and when reading this just now (like austengirl) you are so allowed to response to it. There's nothing immature about it.

And what did you expect? If you take a PM to a public thread, of course people are going to respond to it. That these responses are not what you would have liked (I'm guessing that you wanted us to say that the PM was awful and this woman is evil and blablabla, but instead you got some 'please don't take privat issues into to open') is just the risk of bringing it into the open.

Too bad that that was your last post on the subject, because I am still curious about why you took it public.

Let me talk about Gwyneth as well: She's looking so good, just lkasdjfljwhfkwfjk

In the first pic of her and Mark together I find Gwyneth really looks like her mom!

Saw a promo last night on Lifetime, some new interview show where they seem to be only interviewing famous ladies--Gwyn among them. The interviewer (some British blonde lady) asks her what her favorite sex position is and Gwyn gets all giddy and does an OMG! I doubt she will answer it. She also mentions that she didn't need to find the right man when her father was still alive. Hmm. Not sure when the show will be, seems like it's at least a few weeks away.

Chris Martin: Gwyneth Paltrow Is The Only Serious Relationship I've Ever Had

Chris Martin isn't about to take Gwyneth Paltrow for granted.

The 34-year-old feels really lucky to be married to the GOOP Goddess, and not just because she's the only serious romance he's ever had.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Anthony Mason asked Martin if it was true that he'd only had "one serious relationship."

"[That's] right," the Coldplay frontman said. "I'm in it."

When Mason pointed out that Martin's lack of serious girlfriends in the past was "pretty unusual" and told him he'd made "quite a leap," the musician quipped: "It's a big leap? What, from being a loser, to going out with an Oscar winner?"

He laughingly continued: "It's a giant leap. Let's face it: it's like wicking the lottery."

Martin and Paltrow, who said "I do" in 2003, are parents to Moses, 5, and Apple, 7.

So how has being a father changed Martin's professional life? "It's made it more focused," he said. "And you have a purpose. I like what it does. Just the idea of having to work hard so your kids are okay."

Anthony Mason's full interview with Coldplay and Chris Martin airs Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. EST on CBS Sunday Morning.

Gwyneth Paltrow Closes Out Long Week On-Set

gwyneth-paltrow-stranger.jpg

Kicking off another workday, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted arriving on the set of “Thanks for Sharing” in New York City today (October 14).

The “Sliding Doors” actress donned a pair of sunglasses with a twill jacket, white blouse, and distressed jeans as she prepared to film scenes.

Last night (October 13) Gwyn attended a 10th Anniversary screening of her cult classic “The Royal Tennenbaums,” where she joked about trying to get the film the rights for Beatles songs from Paul McCartney.

Paltrow quipped, “I tried to bribe Paul McCartney. Sex and everything. I ended up taking him bowling, weirdly enough, with Heather Mills, his ex-wife, and Luke Wilson. [Director] Wes [Anderson] put me on a mission. ‘You gotta get the rights!’ He loved the movie, then we went bowling and he said he has nothing to do with the rights.”

He's said that about Gwyneth before, but it contradicts everything he said about his ex (and everything you hear in the songs) after AROBTTH was released. I'm beyond shocked he spoke about her though and on TV too!

She also mentions that she didn't need to find the right man when her father was still alive.

:uhoh:

I agree, but perhaps it's the benefit of hindsight in that he no longer sees that previous relationship on the same level as his with Gwyneth.

Oh totally and I doubt the ex in question gives a damn, but given he wrote (IMO obv :P) Coldplay's greatest album off the back of their breakup it seems a shame to not count it at all.

Looking forward to the interview though :)

sorry but they are multi-billionaires, I do not see why they are still working to secure the future of their children.

if the most important thing is being with family because small children-ages they still need a father and a mother

yes children of celebrities have always the advantage of having all the physical security. but they lack the presence of such a father and a mother. but these children do not tell.

Just enough of a good thing

After years of family time, Contagion's Gwyneth Paltrow is getting her big-screen groove back, writes Helen Barlow.

Gwyneth Paltrow's star wattage was shining so bright at the Venice Film Festival last month, you almost needed sunglasses to look at her. Squeezed into a hot-pink, figure-hugging minidress and wearing dizzyingly high black patent-leather heels, it was a wonder she could breathe, let alone talk.

But talk she most certainly can. The Oscar-winning actor will talk about her husband of almost eight years (Coldplay frontman Chris Martin), their kids, plastic surgery, her healthy lifestyle and even cricket (which Martin loves). Cricket is a subject that elicits opinions most women can relate to.

''I try to understand cricket, I try, I try,'' Paltrow says. ''One day, I was like, 'right, I'm really doing it today, I'm going to get into it' and I sat down and I was watching, I was watching, and I was like, 'Is anything going to happen?' And [Martin] said, 'Is anything going to happen? These are the highlights!'''

So what does she love? Spending time at home in London raising their daughter Apple, 7, and son Moses, 5. She has been reluctant to take leading roles in movies because of them.

''When I first had my kids … I just did not want to be anywhere else,'' she says. ''Now that they are older and I feel myself coming back as an artist, it's even harder.

''But they are only little for a few more years and I don't want to miss out. In five years or seven years' time they'll be like, 'Mom, get out of my room, I want to be with my friends!'''

Paltrow's only lead role in seven years was in Country Strong, where she gave her vocal cords full reign: ''My mother [blythe Danner] is a singer and musician and I grew up with a love of music and always sang.'' She won an Emmy for her appearance on an episode of Glee, in which she also sang. ''That's what I'm like with my kids. I never felt like I had parts that really showed the silly, singing, dancing side of myself.''

She's also letting loose in her role as a recovering sex addict in the coming Thanks for Sharing and was also up for an unglamorous death scene as the sacrificial movie star in the viral thriller Contagion. Her co-star Matt Damon commended her bravery during her seizure scene. ''She's rashy and sweaty and you go like, 'Wow, that's completely without vanity,''' he says.

Paltrow appreciates the gallows humour: ''It's terrible that this could actually happen but when you are there and they are painting your tongue it's hilarious.''

Of course, nothing the 39-year-old does on the screen is going to affect the indelible image she creates on the red carpet. Her sculpted, willowy figure is no accident. She's committed to celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson's famously gruelling fitness regime, which she does five days a week. As for her reported healthy lifestyle, is she really a non-smoking, non-drinking vegetarian? ''It's all bullshit!'' she says. ''I'm not vegetarian. I haven't eaten red meat in a long time but I eat fish and birds. I drink, I smoke once in a while. When in Rome …'' Like backstage at rock concerts? ''Sometimes. I believe in moderation in everything. I'll eat fried food, I'll eat a cake, but I will want to have it home-made or from a restaurant. I won't eat processed food. I don't count calories but that's because I exercise like a fiend.''

What about plastic surgery? ''Do I look old or something?'' she says in mock protest, but admits it could happen. ''I think people should do whatever makes them feel good. [but] I want to move my face because I'm supposed to convey emotion in my job. I have some wrinkles around the eyes, or creases, and while I'm not going to say that I'll never do anything, I would always want to look like myself. I get sort of upset when I see women not looking like themselves.''

Paltrow has a Facebook page (though has never been on it) and a lifestyle website, goop.com, but is especially enjoying using Twitter ''because I get to be myself without lots of other people's words getting in the way''. Like when she tweeted earlier this year: ''Who do I have to bang to get an advance copy of the new Coldplay album? I mean, really!''

In Venice she admitted Martin still hadn't given her a copy of Mylo Xyloto, which is due out on October 24.

Martin does use her as a test audience, she says, ''but very early'' in his songwriting process. Usually, she listens to Coldplay when Martin is out. ''I'm not allowed to listen to it when he's in the house.''

When asked how she was going to celebrate her birthday she suggested a quiet affair: ''Oh, 39 is quite mellow.'' Yet when that birthday came on September 27, she tweeted she was ''nursing a horrific hangover''. Of course, her tweet went viral.

Contagion opens nationally on Thursday.

I'm a good guesser. I thought maybe he was in The Strokes!
