Just like in the Guy thread, they have a rule that no Nico or Joanna pictures can be posted, and you have to go off site to see them.

 

I'm not against your opinion or anything, but I just want to say that the photos of Nico and Joanna not being posted in the Guy thread doesn't take away the fact that the Guy thread regulars often look at the photos themselves. They send links to the photos through PM for others who wish to see and have talked about them in the thread.

Gosh, those poor kids. :( Apple and Gwyn look pretty upset to me there. I have the feeling that if Chris was there there might've been another confrontation with the paps..

Especially since it seems like some people "stalk" the woman's facebook, etc. As opposed to the Paltrow-Martins, it's no different than seeing photos from gossip rags like US weekly or even People. It may be invasive sometimes, especially to their kids but snooping around a musician's wife's personal profile to find pictures of their child? That's not right. Kinda creepy actually. LOL

Personally I would say if there are pap pictures with the kids it's more then enought if we only post the link to the specific site and not actually post them in here.

It's all well and good people talk on here about how bad it is to post pics, but we are all fans of everything that pertains to This family, so it's human nature to see pics of them. I feel really sorry for ANY children born to famous people and the constant attention they recieve thru their upbringing. The mags like people, US, The star, the enquirer, all post pics of celebs and their children, so they sometimes are posted here, what's the difference? There really isn't any difference than all the wonderful Chris and Jonny pics, or the rest of the band posted thruout the boards, If CHRIS was to visit these boards what do ya think he would say about all the lovefest (Gay) stuff sometimes shown here between him and Jonny? I know he isn't a child, (well lol), but he probably would might find it alittle much. I am not bashing anyone, just stating that I enjoy seeing pics on here, and news clippings, I might not be able to see here in America, overseas mags are somewhat different than here. There have been lots of other pics posted of Gwyneth and Chris out with the kids, and I am not sure why these pics came under scrutiny, it shows Apple as a Child being mad about the pictures being taken and that is the reason, if she was smiling it would be all good, well in their bussiness, being famous, Gwyn knows the paps are everywhere, she, I am sure is a good enough parent to ease her mind about what is going on. When Apple got into the car, she was probably already over it.

Not all of us do that. I personally find it creepy, and have no desire to go lurk at the woman's facebook account. I think not posting pics of Nico is our way to keep the privacy her parents have tried to mantain her in, and that's as far as we can do. However I can't go telling people not to share pics or not to check a new pic she posted, 'cause at the end it's their desicion and everyone's free to do whatever they want. Just like i choose not to do it.

as much as i feel a twinge of guilt for looking at pap pics of the kids, i think it's going a bit far to say that it's wrong to post any pictures of them ever. we're not going to stop the pictures being taken by not posting them, which is the real problem if you ask me, and we're not making it any easier for real stalkers to find the photos, since they're already out there for public consumption anyway. since the pictures are going to be taken no matter what (unfortunately) and since most of us here are just diehard FANS and not stalkers (stalkers would know where to find the pictures at their sources anyway, so us posting them doesn't change a thing), i don't see too much harm in posting them. we're not encouraging the paps to take them, just as we're not discouraging them from taking them by not looking at them or posting them. what we do here is harmless, just commenting on how cute the kids are and remarking on how much they look like the parents or how much they've grown, so we are neither hurting or helping any sort of cause by looking at pap pics. it's a personal choice to look at them, and it's completely fine if you don't want to do that for your own reasons, but i think it's a bit holier-than-thou to say that it's wrong to post them in general, since it's not going to change a thing, for better or worse.

you know I think it's very easy to say we won't stop paps taking them when we are not posting them, it's like we are not responsible. We are all responsible cause we looking at them, if nobody would be interessted in the picture there would be no need for them to be taken in the first place.

 

In generally sometimes everyone (inc. myself) sometimes need to look at themselves and ask youself if you would like to be treated like that. This goes for everything from paps picture of the Children, lurking at Jo's facebook account to saying god knows about to have sex with the guys! They deserve some respect esp. from their own fans, just because they are in a band doesn't mean they are public property!!!!

I agree....I think the whole not posting pics of them talk is kinda dumb! I mean like ApproximatelyInfinite said the pics are still being taken whether we post them or not.....so IMO their is no harm in posting the pics here.

the part in bold is defintely true, i don't deny that. the difference is that it's unrealistic: a few hundred fans on a coldplay message board aren't going to change the fact that millions and billions of others in the world do look at this stuff, so i think to say that we shouldn't post the pictures in order to lower the monetary values of the photos so the paps wouldn't be so adamant about taking them in the first place is a moot point. i'm not saying that means we should all just look at them anyway: i think that's essentially a personal decision. i just don't think it should be as militantly enforced as some people are calling for, since it wouldn't make a difference to the larger picture or the industry in any way. not looking at pap pics might make that person feel better, but even if a few thousand decided not to look at them, the industry and call for them would still be there, so in essence, it doesn't make a difference whether we post them or not. i think it's fine (and nice) if it makes you feel better not to look at them (i wish i wasn't so curious myself! i do feel a twinge of guilt in looking at them), but i don't think there should be a blanket rule regarding their allowance on the forum, and i don't think there ever will be.

Yeah, there's a Zulu tattoo parlour there. That's where she got hers done...she pretty much confirmed she had that 'C' tattoo in Elle earlier this year :D
