Talk about beauty sleep.

 

Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly has "fuzzy nap zones" in her $5 million Tribeca penthouse, according to RealEstalker.com.

 

What exactly is a fuzzy nap zone?

 

The site reports this week that the rooms, designed by the trendy interior masters at Roman and Williams, are lush pastel sanctuaries, complete with fuzzy rugs, soft lighting, plenty of plush day-beds, and a swinging pillow-covered couch.

 

But the fuzzy nap zones aren't the only areas of the luxury pied-a-terre to get the sleepy treatment. Apparently, the entire 4,400 square-foot space has the same peaceful pastel feel. The kitchen boasts purple pastel banquettes with white dining tables, crisp white window treatments, and muted white cabinets.

 

On the decorators' website, they describe working on the decor project for "an actress, her musician husband, and their children".

 

It goes on: "Designing and coordinating all interior architecture and custom decoration of the project with sheer energy and completely rule of everything mundane. With light use of mouldings, glassy paint and fuzzy nap zones they embedded this Tribeca apartment with gravitas, care and lllluuuuxury making it suitable for both entertaining and for the needs of a young family."

 

The Paltrow clan, which includes her husband and Coldplay-frontman Chris Martin and their two small kids Moses and Apple, bought the 3-bedroom Laight Street pad in 2007, according to Curbed.com. The nap-tastic décor was reportedly complete in 2008.

 

The fam also has a high-profile neighbors: Oscar-winner Meryl Streep lives in the same building.

She was told by doctors to spend more time in the sun for the sake of her health.

 

And yesterday Gwyneth Paltrow proved she has been following medical advice as she enjoyed a day at the beach with children Apple, six, and four-year-old Moses.

 

 

The Hollywood star appeared blissful as she splashed in the sun with her children close to one of her and husband Chris Martin's homes in The Hamptons, Long Island.

With the star’s curves more pronounced than for many years, Miss Paltrow – wearing a pink and white leopard print Melissa Odabash bikini – also seemed in rude health.

 

She was also joined by two friends for the day at the seaside.

As a result, Miss Paltrow explained, she was put on prescription strength level of Vitamin D and told to ‘spend a bit of time in the sun,’ to further enhance it.

She admitted: ‘I was curious if this was safe, having been told for years to stay away from its dangerous rays, not to mention a tad bit confused.’

 

But Miss Paltrow, who won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare in Love, proved she had overcome any concerns as she enjoyed the sunshine with her family, although rock star Martin did not join the party.

Meanwhile Gwyneth received didn't have to look far when she was cast as a struggling country singer in her latest movie.

Preparing to play Kelly Canter in Love Don't Let Me Down, the Oscar winner asked her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for guitar lessons.

The mother-of-two, 37, ended up putting 10 pounds as well as learning the guitar for one of her most challenging acting roles yet.

The new film sees Paltrow showcasing her singing voice yet again, after previously belting out a few songs in 2000 flop Duets and 2006 film Infamous.

She gushed: 'He was so helpful, so sweet and encouraging. I mean, it's embarrassing to be playing in front of your husband, especially when he's in one of the world's most successful bands.

'He is so great because he's so supportive of me as an artist... I really lucked out with him. He's deeply lovely and special.'

The upcoming drama, which also stars Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and real-life country superstar Tim McGraw, is set for release later this year.

I've always love her singing. My favorites being a duet she did with Sheryl Crow a few ago now...Gwyn sings in the chorus, subtle but lovely.

I agree, I find her speaking voice "strange" to say the least (somehow I think it doesn't fit to her) but in this song her voice sounds great!

 

I'm wondering though where they got the song from.

Is it out for promo already or what?

Am I the only one thinking it could be a Chris song?...Afterall, he said he wrote a few tunes for that movie.... :sneaky:

It's not the Chris one, I saw an article before I didn't have time to post, but it listed the writers and he's not one. As I understand it his song is a duet with her and Tim McGraw. Country Strong song is a single and will be out in Aug. Let me try and find a link to the article I saw :)

She said that originally she didn't like country music at all and now she's playing it when people come over -- they say "What is THAT?" She talked about what a friend Faith Hill became to her during the filming and the good advice she got from Faith. The DJ on the station said the songs were good and would probably be played on the radio.

 

She didn't mention Chris but she sounded happy!
