I'm really excited about "different". I know that there will be tons of people here who won't like the new songs, especially the older members with their Parachutes - obsession (don't get me wrong, its ok for me but I hoped that some are a bit more open-minded - only my opinion!).

 

I'm definitely proud of the guys and their pursuit to break out and create something completely new.

I am not old member .. unfortunately.. neither too obssessed with some specific music style of the boys (maybe a bit stupid but even though i have some preferences i just love everything they do).. ¨different¨ scares me in the sense that i don´t know what to expect, I am confused and too curious ¨- that´s my case - it´s the first time i am intensively waiting for CP album... it turned out to be much more torture than i would have ever imagined :D

I've been a fan since the beginning and I LOVE Parachutes, but VLV and it's vast difference from the early work is just as great for its own reasons, and I can't wait for MX. For me, much as I love their old stuff, they've already done it. They need to evolve, move on...otherwise why continue to make music? Just the opinion of an 'old member' and not meant to insult anyone. :)

 

And I'm so proud of them too! They're not my unknown indie band anymore, but they deserve everything they have! :D

Don't get me wrong. I really really love Parachutes and AROBTTH. Really! But I'm proud of the guys for their brave to develop and to envolve their style. Nobody must like it, but I definitely love it!

RCT: I went into my French class this morning before school started and I saw that my teacher had written up some sentences for her French 2 class on the board about people and their city. One of the sentences was "Debbie Martin lives in London. She is_______." This was all in French of course, but I asked her if I could change Debbie to Chris and "She" to He, and she let me. :D So Chris Martin was written on the board all day. :D

About different...I can see a triology maybe in the first 3 albuns. VLV definetly stands out of the rest before produced by them. The lyrics, the instrumental sound, they add more instruments and the last but not the least, the cloths, they had managed a new style just for VLV is as if a new start for the band. It was launched to introduce their audacy to change so they went for it without fear, they dared and they succeed! that is called wisdom, to change..trust me they are wonderful and did achieve a huge success in the 3 first albums, BUT if they had kept the same style...hmm I doubt if the public would buy as much as they did.

When you're driving you pay attention to which traffic lights you turn at, so you can get home. Traffic lights also help you get home safely.

 

This means "Lights will guide you home".

 

It's also good that they don't ignite your bones because that would hurt.

I hadn't realized how much I'd been spoiled by good live bands (i.e. Coldplay and Muse) until I watched Maroon 5 do a gig for a football kickoff show just now :blank:

 

Coldplay and Muse just can't be compared to anyone else on a stage.

So today I wore my running man T-shirt around campus.
