I discovered the other day I was extremely unfit, I used to play loads of sports: tennis, soccer, football (AFL), golf, touch footy, basketball, Little Athletics :blush: etc.

 

I now do nothign and feel like crap. What are the best things you can do to exercise/work out within your own home?

 

How much do you exercise, what do you do to exercise?

All I do is go to school by bike (which is about 5 km) and every day push-ups (25)

 

I want to do more but somehow I never start running or anything :thinking:

i do alot of running...i need to when my father or mother are calling me i need to run as fast as i can, and then i ride my bike, and i play football...but im a goalie :\ it seems like my fingers get more exercise coz now mostly im in front of the pc typing

Go into your local Roughest Part of Town, look for 2 rival gangs that are squaring up, and throw a beer bottle at them.

^ I've got to warn you that too much exercise may lead to pain in the muscles ... so you'd better not do that when you're no trained :uhoh: First start with your older brother and throw something at him.

Well, pushups and situps are your best bet at the minute. They are such a fucking pain at first, but its a great feeling when you begin to find that you can do more and more each day. If you are as weak as I was when I started training again (About 3 years ago) then 15 pushups is quite an achievement. Im talking about one straight set, no stopping. But by the end of the week, when you can do 25 or 30, and then the next weeks you can do 40 or 50, its a great feeling.

 

Do those small situps, you know the classic looking situp style where your on your back and you pull the whole way up until you are facing your knees? Thats pointless, the 2nd half of the motion doesnt do anything for your stomach or arms. Do those 'ab crunches' type where you do small but very fast situps. Do like 50 of those and you'll just sit back and be in the greatest pain where you can feel under your ribs getting tighter.

 

I do about 400 pushups/situps a day, and feel great after. When I get a chance I run around my village, which is about 6 miles. I sprint and then jog, sprint and jog, repeat until I'm fucked, and then I crawl.

 

And keep it up and some day you'll look as pumped as this!

Im going to start doing more excersise...I dont do enough.

I run/jog every so often. Only about 3-4 miles though. And I havent done it in agesss.

And then I play football and stuff with my friends.

Thats it. :shame:

I'm gonna try to do some running or whatever though because I have noticed that I have started to gain weight thanks to my lazy lifestyle :uhoh:

Bah... Every time I think I should do some sports because I'm a lazy weak kid I can't keep on it for a long time... Like, a week and then I think what the fuck, I don't need it :laugh1:

 

Though I like swimming and I walk a lot but I don't think it's enough to call myself a sportie haha.

i used to be in really good shape.

I was a gym member and i went to the gym 3 times a week everyweek. I would never miss it. And i always ran for 20 mins, then did some weights and to end it i did 40 mins on an erobic machine.

and i also liked going to lessons like kickbocksing, step erobic, spining etc.

 

but at some point i just got sooo fed up with it i couldnt take it anymore. The thought of going to the gym made me sad. The feeling after is always great but making yourself get up, go to the gym, and endure all that pain (especially the run. I hated that!). Well, i just stopped going

 

i havent been going or about 2 months now. And i still have my membership, but i dont see myself going any time soon

I often play tennis. at least 2 hours a week end.

- I walk/jogg about 3 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less

- I go riding about 2 times a week

- I work 2 days a week at a horse stable, that's some good exercise:D

- I'm planning to start aerobic or something similar, and I should go to gym also..

 

And still I look crap and don't loose weight! Booooo.. life is unfare, some of my friends just sit in the couch all day long eating pizza and they still look fit!

^^ yeah, it sucks..i used to be one of those who only sit on a couch and eat pizza and look fit..but that doesn't work anymore i'm afraid :uhoh:

 

 

We're getting a dog in two months so i hope she will get me out to do something..

I walk or go by bike to school though.. It's about 2km walk and 3km by bike, but naah..it's way too little. Sometimes i get on a sporty mood and i go out for a jog and do situps and stuff..but it lasts only two weeks max.

and in Km's .. that would be ... :thinking:

I used to play basketball alot and ride my bike but i stopped so im fat again. but i just joined a gym so ill be exercising like crazy this year. i plan on jogging...great exercise, burns alot of calories and you can get a runners high.

^^ sounds so easy..but i bet if i tried it..i would discover that it wasn't so easy :(

I used to run 15 KM in 75 min but I decreased it to 10 KM because I started to play bodybuilding,as you know tough sports and I playing also Soccer with my friends

i'm probably the most unatheltic person the world has ever seen.

i only exercise at school ... because i have to..

but you know ... my heart is pretty weak.. :smug:

I'm feeling inspired. Starting tomorrow I will start to work out regularly. Not now though.... I'm tired.
