Gas_Man Posted March 29, 2005 Share Posted March 29, 2005 i've had this a few days [7 MB version]...Looks like Noel is still making some wrong decisions when it comes to making his recent records...it doesn't seem to really go anywhere for me...when i first heard it, about 3 minutes later...nothing was stuck in my head from it..not saying that music is only good when it sticks in your head from a first listen...but I'd have guessed that would have been what Noel was wanting...it gets a 2 out of 5 from me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lyla, the new Oasis single, was played earlier and a few of us with warning recorded it. It is *heavily* influenced by Street Fighting Man by the Rolling Stones, and takes from other 60s standards. Has a piano line too, which is interesting. Its grown on me from disappointing up to 'alright'. The 'Hey, Ly-la!' bit is catchy as anything.
