August 16, 200817 yr I don't think SOTL is amazing but its definitely better than Lyla I think, which is a good sign. And it is growing on me each time I hear it. I'm definitely glad it's fast and loud though, a lot of their recent singles have been kind of slow and 'plodding' - good to hear them do something fast again, reminds me of a stripped down and more raw style of something from Be Here Now like My Big Mouth and It's Getting Better (Man!!) which is definitely good.
August 16, 200817 yr I just noticed you can download the 'Falling Down' single version from Itunes now, I got it and its amazing! Much better than SOTL and very different to the Oasis norm. Reminds me of Coldplay and even a little of Radiohead!

August 17, 200817 yr I would guess Stemot listened to Falling Down when it first leaked a couple days ago
August 17, 200817 yr there's two version though, I think the original album version is MUCH better than the Chemical Brothers remix
August 18, 200817 yr Ok, Oasis you have me intrested in your new CD, now don't let me down. That means no 'borrowing lines from the Beatles' no letting Liam or the other guys except Noel pen a song... I know its too late, i've done my research :(
August 18, 200817 yr there's two version though, I think the original album version is MUCH better than the Chemical Brothers remix I meant I don't like Radiohead...sorry, well, nothing KidA and after. Yeah, I've heard both, please, what kind of Oasis fan do you take me for :)
August 19, 200817 yr Noel Gallagher: 'New Oasis album is not Britpop' Noel Gallagher has said the forthcoming Oasis album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', will see the band taking a newer, less mainstream direction. Speaking to BBC 6Music, Gallagher explained that he does not expect to hear too many of the new songs on radio because of their more experimental nature. "It's not Britpop, let's put it that way. It's not our usual thing," he explained. "It's just really exciting, three of the tracks have got two drummers on, me and Zak [starkey] playing drums. Some of it sounds a bit glam. There's no pop singles on it. I'd be amazed if anything else gets on the radio past the first single." Gallagher said that the album takes influences from The Stooges, The Doors and The Pretty Things - as well as John Lennon. "There's a kind of piano-y, John Lennon-y obligatory plod-away song in the middle, which Liam wrote," he said, "and that's to break up the two sides which are pretty intense, and it's full-on from the start to finish." 'Dig Out Your Soul' is released on October 6. It's preceded by a single, 'The Shock Of the Lightning', on September 29.
August 19, 200817 yr Did people know that tickets for UK gigs go on sale tomorrow? I bet these tickets are gonna sell lightening fast.....
August 19, 200817 yr everyone's gone "experimental" these days, hm? ;) sometimes I think this word is just an excuse for the band thinking their new album is sh*** ;D but honestly: I'm looking forward to it, something new is always fine :nice:
August 19, 200817 yr WE'RE SPI-RA-LING *woooooah* :laugh3: well.. at least the tracklisting looks promising ;D
August 19, 200817 yr a tracklisting can't tell you anything about the songs in general, as i always said :nice: everyone thought VLV would be shite because of the song names and it turned out to be quite brilliant ;) so let's hope it's not the other way round with oasis, but i highly doubt that. noel = mastermind! ;D
August 19, 200817 yr that's quite true :D apparently Liam wrote only one song - that's a sign of hope ;)
August 19, 200817 yr well, it can't be worse than "little james" he has written "songbird", though, that's a great song :nice:
August 19, 200817 yr I think I wont go to a Oasis gig ever again. Saw them 4 times and 3 times with almost the same setlist. MAYBE if they change their setlist and throw in some classic bsides ect. I'll go see them again.
August 19, 200817 yr about time they went down the experimental road they should have done this years ago!
