Yeah haha. I get everything I can from iTunes. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff is released in EPs or just singles in Britain, and we never get to see them. Just like with all the music I like from over there. If it's available for purchase I'll buy it. If not, then I'm not hurting the band by getting it on download.

But yeah, if no one knows its no problem. I didn't know if anyone knew off the top of their heads.

Record Machine is a brilliant song! The other two leaked ones are pretty boring.

lately Jay-Z's music has gotten some jazz and 'rock-ish' edge incorporated into. maybe it won't be so bad...? :\

true, Jay-Z is a risky move to be headlining the festival...but honestly i don't think hip-hop should be excluded from the festival, given from the tone of his statements there, and given that they tried getting Kylie Minogue to headline (as we know, a POP act).

makes sense about the money thing too. and for Glastonbury to be opening doors for other genres...that's kind of cool since it's a HUGE festival and there's more varieties to PICK AND CHOOSE from.

on a side note: those Gallagher brothers annoy the f*ck out of me whenever they open their loud mouths to speak out their narrow-minded thoughts.

I for one won't be watching Amy Winehouse and Jay Z on the main stage on Saturday night.

‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ new single out September 29th

‘Dig Out Your Soul’ new album out October 6th

Oasis are set to return later this year with a new single and their seventh studio album.

The single,‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ is released on September 29th and the album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ follows in October; it is the first new Oasis music since last year’s ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’, taken from the on the road film of the same name.

‘Dig Out Your Soul’ sees Dave Sardy return to the producer’s chair following his work on their 2005 album, ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’.

Recorded at Abbey Road and mixed in Los Angeles, all four members once again contribute tracks, but the recording marks a new approach for the band as described by the band’s principle songwriter, Noel:

“I wanted to write music that had a groove; not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus and middle eight. I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving. Songs that would draw you in, in a different way. Songs that you would maybe have to connect to - to feel.

The lead single is still unmistakably Oasis, a Noel penned song with Liam’s immediately familiar voice to the fore underlining their distinctive brand of finger in the socket rock ’n’ roll.

‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ may well represent the most recognisable Oasis song on the album but, again, the new approach on ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ was present on this lead track as Noel explains:

“If ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ sounds instant and compelling to you, it’s because it was written dead fast. And recorded dead fast. ‘The Shock of The Lightning’ basically is the demo. And it has retained its energy. And there’s a lot to be said for that, I think. The first time you record something is always the best.

‘Dig Out Your Soul’ will be the first album released on the band’s own Big Brother label worldwide.

Keep checking back to Oasisinet for more news..

With him talking about a groove etc I'm hoping they're gonna be going in a Kasabian kind of direction, especially with how highly Noel speaks of them and how often he goes to their gigs that could be a possibility. Could be very different sounding to those songs that leaked last month or whenever it was!

sweet! hope that stop the clocks is on it

Woo another big band with an album! Hope its a keeper.

(WTS)MG is my favorite album, but Definitely Maybe and Don't Believe the Truth are close behind.

The Masterplan is my favorite song, though. :smug:

Since DBTT was not a return to form for me Im not sure if i'll bother with this one.

You are wrong.

In my opinion all albums are great...hope "dig out your soul" is as good as their previous ones

Who else thinks "Dont Go Away" is one of those great songs that everyone should here? I frickin love that song, its just so brillinat. I oike it about 80 times more than "Live Forever". I think that song is overrated.

You are wrong.

Nope thats you really. :embarassed:

The opening track quickly bored me nice as Oasis's drums are and always have been. Mucky Fingers is skippable and irritating. Lyla is alright for a while but it doesn't have the replay value of 'The importance of being...' Love like a bomb / God thinks im abel / Meaning of soul are all boring and forgettable mainly because their all over the place lyrically and musically. The last 4 tracks arn't bad (Let there be love is a classic) but the other 3 sound very similar.

Overall I would take Let there be love and Importance of being, then dump the rest of the album in the wide collection of Oasis's tracks post 90's that are barely worth listening to.

Definatly maybe only had a few great songs, but at least the rest of the album held up with thinks like Shakermaker somehow not sucking but simply being a change of pace between Rock and roll star and Live forever. Morning Glory was a beast of an album, Be here now had its moments of mediocrety but still holds up higher than this one.

Noel Gallagher: 'Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' was free marketing'

Oasis' Noel Gallagher has said that he thinks that Radiohead's 'pay-what-you-like' method of releasing recent album 'In Rainbows' was a "free marketing" ploy.

He told BBC 6music that his own band would not be following in the footsteps of Thom Yorke and co by letting fans choose how much to pay for their forthcoming new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul'.

"That's not our bag," he said. "I didn't spend a year in the most expensive studio in England, with the most expensive producer in America, and the most expensive graphic designer in London to then give it away. Fuck that."

Speaking about Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' release, Gallagher said, "To be honest, to me it looked like marketing – a great way of getting a load of marketing for free really. But good for them. That's what they do, they're rebels and outsiders."

What a fucking genius he is. :P

What a fucking genius he is. :P

Would you like him to come and share a pasty with you in Cornwall??

So, expected to fork over mega cash for their expensive new album...:(

He's probably mad he didn't come up with the idea first.:dozey:
