the girl has quitted it? :stunned:

she sounds good :( it won't be the same then. :\

btw which one is your fave album?

(and to make sure of my sources and checks done today), how many albums has he released?

he's been on other previous music projects/band?

I heard "The Blower's Daughter" in the movie "Closer", got the album and listened to it on repeat for a long time.

It's a great album for sure!!

I saw Damien Rice perform live at the Concert For Care in London last week and he was fantastic! The Blowers Daughter sounded great and then he did Cannonball, just him and his guitar and there was silence in the crowd. It was absolutely beautiful.

:nice: that sounds great.

I really like his music and I believe he's one of the best songwriters out there right now. It's just a shame it's taking him so long to get out a new album... :(

I got to see him twice in 2007 and both times were absolutely great! Sadly, I never got the chance to see him together with Lisa Hannigan as she quit the band exactly at the day of the first gig I went to in Munich... I think it even started later and everybody was wondering why... And the audience was even more puzzled when Lisa was nowhere to be seen and the whole atmosphere on stage was rather awkward... It's a real pity because I think the music the two of them made was something very special. :\

I was listening to O again the other day, I havent listened to it for a while and it really is an amazing album.

*lol* Anna!!! that's the same thing that happened with me & Damien Rice!!! :D

& i heard 'Delicate' used on an episode of House M.D. recently also & that started the cycle again...

I'm new to Damien Rice- amazon had Live at Fingerprints ridiculously cheap one day, so I downloaded it on a whim. I've really loved it. Ready for more now! So according to what I've seen here, "O" is a good place to start?

i can still remember the start of the movie like it was just yesterday i watched it (which it wasn't)...the song...Jude Law...Natalie Portman... :)

Sorry to go off topic here...

But yes, the movie left a strong memory trace for me as well.

So many people couldn't understand the characters... but I loved about the movie that not everything is either black or white and you (or at least I) can understand each character's decisions in a way.
