Please take the time to read this first post and pray that prayer to God at the bottom of it if you haven't yet.

I am UN CHIEN ANDALUSIA

I take it this is the only thread you've posted on in this forum....

He thinks religion should be completely impersonal

And still this thread hasn't been locked :P

I dont really see the point of this thread being locked. It hasnt caused any harm to anyone, and one does not have to post in it. However, xfrodo obviously joined this forum to the preach the bible to us. Im not even sure if he likes coldplay or if he has any other interest on this forum other than

"please take time to read the prayer at the top of the page blah blah blah

Wrong. I don't think it should be impersonal. I think it should be very personal between you and God. I can't save anyone, only Jesus Christ can.

And it's a shame I've got Jesus Christ locked up in prison for life for the murder of the jews :P

Nobody can escape the super-high security prison, unless you hide yourself as a Fedex parcel

Perhaps you should try to use your religious rhetoric to convert and save the poor souls here who are in the midst of a great intellectual internet forum battle.

I'm a believer...go to church every week, etc...but this dude has some serious issues.

I was just insinuating that I was possessed by the devil

Not seen the Exorcist?

I have no issue with people believing in God if it helps them, but when their belief has some kind of kind of effect on other people, that is not cool

That's probably the most disturbing thing I've ever witnessed in a movie.

Besides some woman hanging by her skin on some kind of deer post and then falling off. :disappointed:

And I'm only trying to get to Gwinn when it's snowing.. So when did they start to deify the Bible's characters? I suppose the embellishments made in Mesopotamia..

Anyhow, tiddly-pom principle works nicely, thank you. And some basic understood rules that advance civilization with the most progressive values. God is really everything, as honoring truth is to honor the totality of the universe.

I laughed my ass off in that scene, Hi-larious. The crucifix scene that is, not the skin one, not sure I've seen that......doesn't sound very funny though.

It was.

I guess it's okay for me to laugh at things like people ripping their skin off, but not at blasphemous things.

Probably has to do with my training.
