So they said they might release a track or two before the album is released.Im thinking that if they only release one track before the album then wont that be the official first single that is always released before the album?Cause we are hearing a lot about Violet Hill being the first single and them shooting a video for it.But a May 6th release date is pretty far from June 16th. Wasnt speed of sound released a couple weeks before X&Y came out?So that leaves time maybe for another track to be released before the album maybe??

My exams begin May 19th, so I've got two weeks to enjoy before hell breaks loose.

But I'll finish my exams two weeks before the album comes out, so that's great timing! (and just before the Lost season finale :P)

I dunno bout you but i cant remember any of these rumours people got excited for ever being right. You'll know when Coldplay announces it, or their marketing, not before.

Seems a little early though, since it's the 17th of April now and we haven't even heard it yet.

that's an incredible news, if it's true... but normally singles are officially announced at least 2-3 weeks before, by the band I mean... aren't they?

If it's out early next month then we should hear the song and see the video VERY VERY soon now.

We'll hear it then, my opinion. But we'll get the single later.

Maybe...seems more realistic than releasing a song that no-one has heard. Plus May 3 is weeks and weeks before the album, but not long enough to release another song in the interim, if that makes sense.

 

It's sooooooooooooooooooooooo long away though and I'm dying :P

Err I have two exams on the 6th. :( Sounds about right though, that date, normally first single is released as a promotion about six weeks before the album.

why have they stopped the weekly updates on their site? :(

I believe it, they told us to try to release a song of two before then.
