Fixed
NME... bloody hell. Well, they did give Coldplay their big break I suppose, I guess. Bloody hell. Oh well. A Spell A Rebel Yell - we've never heard that one mentioned before have we? How exciting! Although those that actually have a record player will have to somehow transfer it to a format the rest of us can use, if that's possible and if they don't mind. Why didn't they just release it as a CD? Anyway, yay!!!
Cobalt
Yet another UK exclusive :bigcry: My internet's a bit shite at the moment so as a request when this leaks digitally can someone bug me and send it to me? I have a record player but I have to lay off to afford that bloody tour next year which will probably cost a crapload :bigcry:
Mimixxx
I don't even have a record player anymore, so hopefully some kind person can rip the new song for us :D
Uchiha_Shadow
Not really liking the artwork... hope it's not an indication for Viva La Vida That being said, it's awesome that within the next few weeks, between Violet Hill, its b-side(s) and this new NME song, we'll have at least 3 new Coldplay songs! Fixed
Any NME experts here?.... Will they actually sell out of this issue totally and so is the pre-order thing necessary, or is it just to make sure they get a million orders. I'd rather buy in the shop as its likely the 7" will get destroyed in the post.
Dejan
they should release this new song in a cd limited edition.....

I'd rather buy in the shop as its likely the 7" will get destroyed in the post. It won't sell out, and the reason they're not releasing it on CD yet is because they want the single to do well. Jpw48
I've just said in the other thread that if anyone from outside the UK is desperatly in need of this, if they were to PM me closer to the time I might be able to see if I can pick up some extra copies, and pass them on at cost price. Can't promise anything, but I'll see what I can do! :D This is sooooo exciting, in two weeks time we'll have a real-life piece of Viva la Vida in out hands! cephaus
New article NME's Coldplay preview New single with mag next month 23 Apr 2008 - Good news for Coldplay fans as the NME are supplying a sneak preview of the band's new album. The new album, which is not out until June 16, will be their fourth, called Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. However, the NME is giving away a 7 inch next month featuring the physical release of the first single Violet Hill and double A-side track A Spell A Rebel Yell. The latter won't be appearing on the album and will only be released on this disc. Krissi Murison is deputy editor at the NME and she says Chris Martin contacted them direct: "He called up our editor one night from the studio, he said 'I have just written this song and it's the pefect song. NME readers are gonna love it, we have to get it out there.'" You can expect your sneak preview with the May 7 edition of the NME. The album's tracklisting is: Life in Technicolour Cemeteries of London Lost! 42 Lovers in Japan/ Reign of Love Yes Viva La Vida Violet Hill Strawberry Swing Death and all his Friends Ruth Barnes Link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20080423_nme.shtml
