How would your life be with no Coldplay?

Featured Replies

Hey dude you're totally not alone on that. Even tho I know a lot of people don't care for it, Warning Sign helped me get through some tough times and so did Everything's Not Lost (when my parents got divorced).

:) I totally get you.

there are ALOT of bands out there, and not one of them can compare to coldplay

because their music totally hits me. it means alot to me

To be totally honest with you all,

I wouldn't be here right now if there was no coldplay.

I was young, and I went through such a rough time,

my mum passed away when I was 13, I remember feeling like I'd lost everything.

and I remember AROBTTH had just came out,

that album saved my life

their music really got me by - the scientist and warning sign (especially warning sign)

then I went out and bought parachutes, and other songs really lifted my spirit, Everythings not lost really made me realise that I could put it all behind me.

and so, in short, Coldplay saved my life.

and I thought I would share this with you all,

because you're all great people :)

aww that's beautiful and.. I'm sorry bout your mom

They're music's always been my strenght too ...especially when I got bullied for liking them hehe

We actually have VERY similar stories. A warning sign and swallowed in the sea also got me by.. when my father passed away

My Dad thinks Coldplay are really depressing... but without them my life would be a lot duller

There'd be no Yellow in my life for a start!

I'm guessing that's a way to bring back old threads?

1.-still listening only nine inch nails marilyn manson sepultura slayer.

2.-without a girlfriend.

3.-virgin

My life would definitely be sadder. Coldplay brightens my mood every time I listen to their music. I also wouldn't have expanded my music taste without them.

  • 1 year later...

My life would be sad and very very quiet. And yeah I might get out more often too

I'd be listening to more hardcore music than I do now and I'd be a lot sadder and less confident in myself. :(

I'd actually have money. :laugh3:

I'd actually have money. :laugh3:

True!!

But I don't regret a single Euro or Pound I spent for them!

There are so many things that would be different!

Too much to type it all!

I'd probably have finished writing my diploma thesis by now...

I wouldn't have met a lot of lovely people though!!

i would still be into rap, and hip hop hardcore, :hippy:

and i wouldn't have extended my music choice either. :shame:

i would probably be less social and giddy when i see things that remind me of them.

(ie. butterflies, i probably wouldn't cherish them at all :uhoh:)

things like that.

i would have been dressing really weird.

like i cant believe the way i used to dress, with like south pole and baby fat,

yeahhh... i cant see it anymore lol

and i wouldn't stand out in my friends as "the girl who's obsessed with coldplay" - :wideeyed:

things that would be different:

id be less happy.

id be online less.

id care less about fair trade.

weezer would probably still be my favorite band.

id be bored more often.

my walls would look totally different.

i wouldnt know as much about the music industry in general.

id have 162 fewer songs on my itunes:lol:

i wouldnt have gotten into the bands that coldplay "suggested."

i wouldnt procastinate as much on homework:lol:

id have more money.

i wouldnt have made friends on this forum:nice:

i would still be into rap, and hip hop hardcore, :hippy:

I used be into rap and nothing else a little before Coldplay. But right before I started listening to more alternative bands like Coldplay, I was weakening into rock music with metal, punk, and grunge. So I probably would have been all about metal if I hadn't found a band like Coldplay to ground me.

If I didn't have an older brother, I'd be all about rap still. haha.

Hahaha! :laugh3:

yeah me too, and then one day i decided to watch the mtv movie awards ... and it changed my life as i knew it

for the better

and yeah my friends still like hip hop and rap and stuff, now i still have no problem with it, its just not my taste anymore,

especially after you listen to like a deep song by coldplay then go to "pimps and hoes on the streets of Compton"-Will :laugh4:

haha it changes your thoughts on it,

like... wait... i used to like this ... it doesnt even make sence lol

coldplay definitely made me appreciate good music :smug::smug2:

I'd actually have money. :laugh3:

So true

But on the other hand, I probably would've had an even harder time going trough uni, Coldplay was my "inspirational music" the entirety of those 5 years :nice:

I would have no reason to go to Phoenix, nor an excuse to go to NY :P

I wouldn't have met all the amazing people I've gotten to know in this place (in person or not), and for that reason alone, I preffer to be poor but have my Coldplay :nice: and my Coldplayers

^ hahahahaha thats so sweeet :D

COLDPLAY GIVES US AN EXCUSE TO SPEND MONEY!:wideeyed::dance::surprised:

like dropping over 400 dollars at their merchandise stand, over the course of only two concerts :uhoh2:

Hahaha! :laugh3:

Don't get me wrong, I still love rap. People look at me weird because I look like this little girl that doesn't anything about anything related to music, especially rap. But I'm not as into it as I used to be and my taste has broadened a lot.
