Viva la Vida is also a few seconds shorter.Its because Violet Hill fades in while Viva La Vida is still fading out, so both songs probably lose 5 seconds each. footyfan10 Posted June 3, 2008 Share Posted June 3, 2008 yeah I too was hoping for 42 to be some kind of epic coming at you from everywhere and not letting up type song...which is sort of what they pitched it as. if its really just shy of 4 minutes i wonder how theyre going to do the three parter thing without it seeming like each part is rushed. damn though, this record will be short and sweet, which is the best! but yeah, 42 was supposed to be epic, and this is obviously just a normal length song, although thats certainly not saying it will be anything but great.
