Cesc no doubt star struck by his idols who he will hoping to be playing with next season. May as well give them a bit of a hand now.

Not but seriously the past year Fabregas has given off the aura that he is bigger than the club he is playing for. With mistakes like that maybe he can realise he isn't.

Hello!

Disgusting refereeing.

What a horrible call. he was just doing what any sensible striker does when he gets the ball.

Barca have gotten some amazing chances these last 5 minutes...

noooo!

but what an incredible goal. some of the best passing you will ever see.

3-1. Shame for Arsenal.

This Swiss referee has ruined what was set up to be a fab match. Truly incompetent. No doubt he has been favouring the home side even if it was a penalty.

That dodgy red card cost them the game :(

Although they only need one goal to win on away goals

red card (second yellow?) for kicking the ball away? what an absolute disgrace!

A red card for "time wasting" when he probably didn't even hear the whistle.

It's almost as stupid as getting a red card for celebrating a goal

3-1 FT.

Such a shame. Barca as expected swarmed all over Arsenal all night but undoubtedly they were helped on their way by one of the most amateurish, petty refereeing decisions in Champions League history by sending Van Persie off.

Massimo Bussaca should be ashamed of his performance tonight. It was a big match and he blew it in front of an international audience...big time.

It's over for Arsenal, at least it wasn't as big of a white wash as it was last year.

But still that poor ref decision, will be all over the back pages tomorrow, at least Arsenal fans ain't as mental as Chelsea fans (remember the Swiss ref a few years ago getting death threats following poor decisions?)

Ah well 1 English team down, 3 to go.

Liverpool still remain the only English side to beat Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

SO disgusted by that ref in the Arsenal - Barcelona game.

And Alves deserved a red card for choking Robin Van Persie but off course whats more important is RvP kicked the ball exactly 1 second after the whistle was blown WITH the loud fans screaming.

Though Arsenal didn't play well either but we could've succeeded if van persie was there.

Oh dear! You spoke to soon! Fabregas just pretty much pulled the trigger on his own team by helping Messi to score.

Does the guy not know how to clear his lines? What an utter idiot thinking he can flick it back in such a dangerous place and he got what he deserved.

:laugh3:yeah that was embarrassing too..

what a horrible backheel that was!

Yep. At 1-1 and with 11 men and with a player like Van Persie who can pick out a moment of genius at any time Arsenal were very much in that game. But at the end of the day the only person who loses is the referee. There's a real sad element when you have to witness a human being totally out of their depth at the job they do and love, particularly in front of millions of people. He was clearly intimitated by the Nou Camp atmosphere and in doing so choked.
