If Martinez gets the job I'll support him and most Liverpool fans will. He's worth a gamble. What's the worse that could happen? We'll either still be rubbish or we might get pleasantly surprised. Time will tell.

The Athletic Bilbao fans were excellent the way they didn't vacate the stadium and sang and cheered their team after a convincing defeat.

Yesterday is history so what's your point?

I'm trading on trophies already in the bank your trading on trophies that haven't even been won yet and a lot of them at that.

One day your sugardaddy will desert you and you will return to your third rate yo-yo club with a tiny fan base and hopeless existence.

"Research carried out by Manchester City in 2005 estimates a fanbase of 886,000 in the United Kingdom and a total in excess of 2 million worldwide"

He most likely donates 60% to a "charity" to avoid tax, not to mention that he probably owns that charity and draws money out in a tax haven.

He would still be much worser off .

Support Mario ! He is a good guy !

Is that meant to be impressive?

¿You understand the question no?

Who would've thought a stupid fucking argument about numbers of trophies and numbers of fans would reduce to petty drivel? I certainly did.

Dirk, your club winning a bunch of shit doesn't make you or the team better then anyone else, I have no idea what you were hoping to prove by simply posting the numbers of competitions Liverpool have won, but congratulations on wasting the time of everyone who had to read it.

Similar to Daryl posting the number of fans City have, you're being as bad as eachother.

Don't get your knickers in a twist I wasn't trying to prove anything I was just provoking bart for a bit of fun if. I don't care too much for what Liverpool have done in the past I care more about what is happening here and now and the next game. If you must know I have always liked Man City and West Ham and I was very glad for both of them in winning the Premier League and getting promoted. I'm not begrudging and bitter of City's success like you seem to be. So what if the have spent shit loads of money for their success that's the way things get done these days it's as simple as that.

Congratulations Man City 2011/12 League Champions, Chelsea 2011/12 FA and European Cup Winners, Liverpool 2011/12 League Cup Winners.

Winning the League Cup on penalties against Cardiff isn't something to be proud of, considering that some of the teams play understrength teams.

Am I right in thinking that now the English leagues are now finished with (after the play-off finals), if so bring on the Euros (and watch as England get knocked out in the quarter finals)

So is it something to be ashamed of then? Say nothing of us beating Chelsea and Man City away. What a stupid comment.

Y'know what is patronising? Being told you have your "knickers in a twist" for having an opinion.

I don't have my knickers in a twist I just realise this ridiculous nature of deluded Liverpool fans that think their history means something right now. Are Champions League trophies going to get you into the Champions League next season?

If you're such a fan of Man City then why did you take the time to research their trophy success and Liverpools trophy success? Because it was a "joke"?! Ha-ha-ha, that was hilarious, you should be a comedian.

Uh, actually, it is. It's winning a competition. You must be incredibly bitter to focus on a particular trophy out of the many Liverpool have won.

You've obviously missed the part where I said "I don't care too much for what Liverpool have done in the past I care more about what is happening here and now and the next game.". I didn't need to "research" either I already knew the figures. Think before you post next time and don't make such sweeping generalisations. I don't go around stating that Newcastle fans are fickle weeping idiots who'll be calling for the manager and owners head next season when the results dry up and it all goes tits up as per usual.

I have to give some credit to you David, after all the crap you lot have taken, and now facing non exsitance I dont blame you for being bitter. But I would blame previous owners...not man city, liverpool or Barnsley

I am hearing RM is no longer intrested in taking liverpool.

They need to stablise quickkly word on the footballing streets is they are a very toxic club, nothing may save them ,the owners will look for some of their money back and cut their loses and run. Championship, relgation fodder, or mid table, future at best. I am saying this as we made massive mistakes like this and no one needs reminding more than myself its pretty shite reallly.

I don't think it's as bad as that we're not Leeds or Newcastle United and things can change very quickly you should know this better than most. Despite having one of our worst seasons in the League for generations we still finished eighth nowhere near relegation and pulled off wins against Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea and Man City and reached two finals.

I know of two people who would take the Liverpool job in a heartbeat and both of them are legends for what they have done in Modern times.

I didn't miss that part, you're acting as if what you say is gospel to me, I don't believe you, you're only saying that after I brought it up.

Sorry but that's another "sweeping generalisation", I'm assuming that you actually do care about number of competitions won and find it relevant, I'm basing this on the fact you just posted City and Liverpool's number of trophies won as a comparison- so it's a fair assumption.

You're so butthurt because I assumed you looked up the number of trophies?! Whos knickers are in a twist now? It was hardly a damaging accusation, in fact it's completely besides the point, you're just looking for irrelevant things to pick apart now. Fine, you didn't need to research it, congratulations, how many people know the statistics of other clubs amount of trophies won? My assumption was hardly wild, and it wasn't exactly the focal point of what I'm getting at, as you well know, you're just deflecting away from the point.

It makes no difference either way, whether you researched it, whether you didn't, you still went to the effort of typing it out, drawing comparison as if it really means anything, it clearly does mean something to you so stop being a bullshit artist.

This is just going to go around in circles, with the addition of you getting offended over some tiny irrelevant thing for little reason here and there. I was saying how pointless these debates are that include things like trophies or fans, you're saying you were basically just trolling Daryl, I don't believe it, end of story.

You believe what you want to believe and I'll know what I know.

What does that have to do with anything we were discussing? Or are you just attempting a cheap shot because you're so petty?

Do you honestly think I would backtrack on what I have said and seemingly change my position on Man City just because you had a little cry over a few post like you did with the Villas-Boas thing? You've taken posts that were in no way serious on my part (I can't speak for bart) and made a big thing out of them. When football returns then we can talk about football. You don't like "pointless" posts about what people have won or how many fans they have I get it. I don't exactly see it as pointless myself but I wouldn't bring it up in a serious* debate about football in the present or future.
