It was always a lose-lose deal for AVB. Maybe he was just naive to think it wasn't. I really don't know if Liverpool - if he considers that - would be any different.

We have a fair few players we got with the money that it seems of the books soon as they will be out of contract Even tevez will be free to go and of our wage bill end of this season.

So to that rag written statment as the money we spend has become an obsession of theirs is something we dont need to worry about, in time our marketing andbrand name will kick in .

We are going to china for our summer tour and we have "sun ju hi "" ex captian of the chinise national team to help us, and bonus is we are going there as champions of England ...

City are now just as big as Man Utd, Barca and Madrid... job done..

I've read this about 5 times now, what the fuck are you trying to say?

I thought for a second about quoting this in my signature to show how poorly written the English language can be, but then I realised you'd think it's some sort of compliment towards yourself.

City are now just as big as Man Utd, Barca and Madrid... job done..

My Word.

^Exactly, I was trying to understand the basics of his post first and foremost, but it should be acknowledged how Daryl's just made yet another unbelievable statement. The worst thing is:

OK will say something soon

He had to spend a few hours thinking up this retarded shit.

so how are newcastle going to challange and ever compete with us, these questions are never spoken about.

I wonder how many time city are mentioned in this thread without me even saying it ?

it appears more than 50 000 times...

"He had to spend a few hours thinking up this retarded shit."

:laugh3:

That is a crushing issue Daryl, thank you for bringing it up, we also haven't discussed how Aston Villa will challenge Arsenal next year, or West Ham competing against Chelsea.

What would we do without you bringing up all these relevant arguments?

Who's in? Who's out? Not long now before the window swings open and no doubt it's going to be as crazy as ever for the next three months.

We finished 25 points ahead of the rent boys...

Fuck we are really one of the worlds best teams... now

The depths

You honestley will never understand what its like to be a city fan,

we lived with us going down and utd wnning the title in the same season they beat us 5-0, and at half time we were 3-0 and still thought in our deluded way we would come back,

I rememeber being so very happy with a 1-1 draw at wallsall when Jamie Pollock scored for us... ( I was working at the G MEX in a kictchen , and i worked like a trooper after that )

In my whole life it was my ultimate fantasy (in football) come true when it came to my team and the owner we have come in , in fact super exceeded them... to this day despite the arrangonce I will wake up and we are playing Milton Keys dons away.

My life since the take over has been like football manager but automactic. :D

to this day despite the arrangonce I will wake up and we are playing Milton Keys dons away.

Then can you do us all a favour and start acting like it?

Why would anyone start asking questions about Newcastle competing with Man City?! As if this needs to be pointed out to you, but we haven't spent half a billion pound on our squad, I'm not sure if you noticed.

I'm going to make my overall point yet again (Because if you had some humility and accepted it, I could have stopped a long time ago) I would much rather my team builds a squad through hard work and determination, to get 5th and have by our standards an excellent season, then to just get some Sheik to come in as if you set your teams budget to "£9999999999" via some cheat on Championship Manager.

And that's effectively what it is- a cheat. Maybe not literally, but you're cheating yourself if you think this is a measure of true success, and what's worse is that while fans may respect and fear you as a squad, nobody will ever respect your success, and most of us won't forget it. That's right- you'll never be truly respected for buying success. Any team that spends as much money as you have and continues to, it is inevitable that any club will win something, there is no longer anything special about your club. You may as well take all the years of hurt, and some of them glory, your entire history, ball it up, and kick it into the fiery depths of hell, because that is now completely overshadowed and in turn, forgotten about.

Now where's Branislav Ivanovic? I need to tell him he's not playing in the final.

If Newcastle ever get to the stage where we compete for the title, the average neutral fan will respect that we've also had tough times as a team, but if success comes we can agree that it's fully deserved. I'd rather live on that unlikely possibility then what you have.

and many other threads ago on here even charlton were better than city !

Who are you talking to?

the voices............. anyone that thinks i am not entilted what they might pervivecice as dislplaying some arragonce....

A coffee with the new manager?

The abuse that RM is getting from Liverpool fans is embarrassing and shocking. I might not believe him to be the best candidate but he is a good manager and a nice man. Whoever FSG decide to appoint needs out full support. That is what we are all about. Good luck RM, he has my full support. :)

I admit my initial reaction was not exactly receiving of the idea and I am not proud of it. I'm looking forward to next season already. I still remain pessimistic that it could be a bad idea and I think AVB is still the best candidate. We need to give him time and money.

He'll either be given time or money, he certainly won't get both. If he's given a blank cheque to bring in players this summer and doesn't shy away from using it, he won't last a season unless they're challenging for top 4 come February or March.

I think right now things need to be stable, and while it may appear like an easy fix to spend a lot of money again, I think you're best off trying to bring in only another 1 or maybe 2 established players, and working around the squad you have, because there's nothing wrong with it. I also think that would be best for Martinez, I think he has enough of a task getting the belief of the current squad together, without bringing in a new bunch.

Did anyone else watch the Copa Del Rey final? That was the most passionless display in a cup final I've ever seen.

Some Liverpool fans have no sense whatsover.

Just like Newcastle, nearly have

Just like we were 20 years ago.. with Peter Swales.. and it nearly killed us.

Liverpool please wake up and smell the coffee, its not the late 70 ´s anymore, Alan Hansen is not coming to the rescue.

I've not recognised abuse as such (thankfully because that would be appalling) but I do feel a wave of disappointment though. However if Martinez gets the job I will be intrigued and looking forward to the job he will do. Who knows? By bringing in Martinez, Liverpool may uncover the next managerial superstar?

Liverpool is currently a Toxic club, no one in their rightmind would manage this team at the moment unless they were handed at least a 5 year contract.

I really think the disappointment of possibly having Martinez stems from some poor, and very honest, PR decisions from Liverpool's directors. Did they really need to inform everyone that there would be interviewing several managers- especially that they've approached AVB weeks ago and he has shown an interest? Or that they would at least have a punt at Guardiola?

I think this created a great air of expectation, and so quickly after sacking Kenny, when fans are desperate for a massive change at Liverpool, because their biggest legend who is still very popular has been sacked by people who we could presume don't fully understand the impact he's had and could potentially have had on the clubs future.

If it is Martinez, and he's appointed soon, I'd hope the fans will accept this and support him by the start of the season, and while there will naturally be scepticism I think he'll get a fair shot.

Smell this.
