I've been saying this for a long time now, but Arsene Wenger under some circumstances can be a really naive man. In January he said there was no rush for RVP to sign as he has a full 18 months left on his contract... 18 months?! Are you serious?

At that time was probably Arsenal's best chance to keep him, but as the season went on and Van Persie realised he is not just known as a very consistent talent but one of the top strikers in Europe, his ambition has changed, and before he was content at Arsenal, now he's wondering why, that before he's past his peak, he doesn't have a chance at a team like Real Madrid and win more titles.

What the fuck are you on about you idiot.

what do you call a Arsenal captian...

a future city sub

I think they bought Podolski to replace RvP.

Probably wishful thinking on your part.

I KNEW RvP wasn't going to stay at the Gooners.

i have almost pissed myself watching this..

Breaking news: Robin Van Persie plans to take a break from football to recover from a back injury after carrying Arsenal for 2 years.

Arsenal will probably sell RVP this summer, as they know he can leave next year for nothing.

And something is better than nothing.

I KNEW RvP wasn't going to stay at the Gooners.

Still don't think Podolski was bought to replace RVP. I just think AVP was expecting more in the transfer market despite Podolski being a good player (how he will perform in England will be interesting to see - wasn't too fussed with him at he Euros.)

If he leaves hopefully it will be to somewhere like Real. If he went to Man City he'd be seen in the same light as that **** Nasri who delightfully was shit last season. He'd be another following the money path because let's be honest most players at Man City don't know the first thing about that club and would have preferred earning the money they do in Manchester at a different club. Just another reason why in future they will be seen as the most insignificant success story in sport. No - not even deserving of a footnote in English football's history.

I love the apathy in this thread....half hearted loathness aimed at city is the best its got..

( I am still pinching myself Sept 1st 2008, never happend )

So this is what true reality in 2012 is like.... everyone pissed off unless they support city ..

And that's how you deal with things? That's just so sad.

And that's how you deal with things? That's just so sad.

how do you expect me to deal with things you send me...

i have a lot more going on than just you..

i hope we stuff you lot AGAIN... thats all i can say... in return..

you know nothing about me... apart from I am a very happy city fan... away from that...fuck all

you spend all you´re time repying to me.. I hope one day you just ignore me, that will be the end of it..

I did not expect city to be in control of football so quickly so my work with you is really done...

If you wish to say anything to that be my guest....

I've tried to be reasonable, I've tried asking you very simple and direct questions are about your motivations to troll this thread, and you either flat out ignore it or put it down to 'bitterness'.

As for what I know about you, you've pretty much had problems with a LOT of people you lived with, put it down to it being their fault, when once such incident was disturbing and is now a legend of a Lounge topic, had problems with your landlords at all times, again it's always their fault. You bragged about how you're such a powerful influence for City on City forums, how everyone thanked you because you always supported Tevez (Despite wanting him dead, which you did say) and then you gave me that forum where you had barely any posts and if you got any response it was normally to tell you how deluded you are. Those 2 things spring to mind, should I think more?

But as for this thread, the reason I spend 'all my time' replying to you is because it's like trying to stuff information into a rock, you don't absorb anything. So I'll have to repeat myself yet again:

If you had some class and some dignity you would acknowledge that City's purchased success, I've never requested you should be ashamed of your club, but when everything against City is 'bitter jealousy' when people make valid points such as above, you should either take that on the chin, or at least reply to what they say like a reasonable person. If you disagree with someone reply to what they say, and don't remove yourself from it by writing 'bitter rags'. You admitted before you were trolling us but I don't think you ever were, you're just an idiot with a one track mind.

I did not expect city to be in control of football so quickly so my work with you is really done...

If you wish to say anything to that be my guest....

You're still not getting the point, I'm not fucking mad at you because City have bought success, I'm disturbed by your response to this, how you think that because your club is wealthy this has something to do with you, or that you actually influence your club by your forum support on here (Unbelievable). Now you've talked before about how sad my life must be to keep replying to yours, so I'll stoop to your level, and say that for you to go on and on about City's success and wealth, you must have really low self esteem about your own life and failures.

But to make it more concise for your brain: I want to know why you continue to post in here 100% of the time about City, to piss everyone else off, why do you do it? You think my existence is sad? You're warped.

As for welcoming me to "be your guest" and reply with anything, hahaha! You don't reply to nearly everything I write, you flat out ignore it, so stop acting like you're prepared to stand up to it.

an example of True Bitterness...

Ok it was harsh saying that Man City won't even make the footnotes in history but I have to say I am disappointed that City had to out do Chelsea from a few years ago. It's a form of success that just breeds yet more cancerous traits within football of people believing you have to have money to succeed and that there is no such thing as long term projects in the game any more. I don't see why much respect should be paid to a team that had fabulous supporters but now feel a sense of entitlement on whoever they feel and wherever they go just because of some tacky rich Sheikh. If ever there was a bastardised form of success that's the way to do it. But would I want my team to go that way? In all honesty if you offered me Sheikh Mansour's money right now I don't think I could take it. I love the hope and expectancy of being a Liverpool fan even when prospects can be dire. It sure as hell is immensely difficult to compete with you lot these days but nothing is ever off limits.

it was fun being shite a lot simplier not expecting anything...

rooney is going to say something soon i predict...

Diego Forlán posted this on his official Twitter account:

Louis Van Gaal has been reappointed as head coach of the Netherlands. Took charge of them in 2000 but was sacked in 2002 after failing to guide them to the Japan and South Korea World Cup. Good appointment I say although has the ability to go nuts.

terrible kit

The Man City away is pretty bad, the Chelsea one is too, Fulham's just looks odd, but that Arsenal one, wow, that's a sore sight.

Forlán's flight is arriving any time now. This is our airport right now:
