How to sneak cameras inside

Featured Replies

If you need to take spare memory cards than you need to buy a bigger memory card ;)

Batteries are hard enough to change mid-gig, yet alone memory cards

My friend went to a concert and she hid her camera in aluminium with cotton, and it perfectly looked like a sandwich ! Great isn't ? :P

For girls, it's possible to hide it in your bra, but the form might be weird :D

Hahahaha, that's genius! :laugh3:

Yeah I know I told her :P

Except if they ask you to throw your sandwich :uhoh:

Oh...! :uhoh2:

what about video cameras?!?

I saw someone at the birmingham concert filming the whole time.

and the fact that I'm volunteering with oxfam in nashville, I Think they won't check my bag....then I could document everything...??

Well, it depends what size video camera you're talking about... :uhoh:

You probably don't mean a little point and shoot camera that has built in video. That's what most people bring and use, and they actually work fairly well if you have good seats. But I don't know about a bigger, real, video camera. I suppose if you're with oxfam you'll have a better chance of sneaking one in.

I am starting to get really worried about getting my camera in too!

I have a coolpix Nikon p90.

nikon-p90.jpg

It isn't a professional camera nor does it have a detachable lens.

The zoom is insane though.

And i'm afraid they will think it looks like a professional camera.

My plan is to tie the strap around my waist, and i'll wear a skirt.

The camera can just dangle. and nobody will notice.

Hopefully it works.

I was also just thinking about wrapping it up in a hoodie in my bag i bring. But i'm just getting really nervous. I HAVE to bring my camera in!

That really is a wicked camera Makayla..

I do hope they allow it in..It will surely take excellent photos :D

Yeah.

But i was just looking on the venues site and my camera meets the requirements..

So even if they try to tell me that it is a professional camera, i can totally prove to them that it meets their site requirements.

I think i'm going to print out that page from their site and take it with me just in case.

Yes do that Makayla, then they'll have nothing to say ! ;)

And... OMG if you're front row you'll have some insane pics ! :stunned: Can't wait to see them !

You should be fine! For my concert on Monday, Shoreline claimed that they only allow non-professional and very small cameras, so I brought my tiny point and shoot instead of my nicer camera. But once I got into the venue, I saw plenty of people with cameras like that or even DSLRs with huge lenses (and they weren't professional photographers or anything). So, as long your venue is outdoors, it shouldn't be a problem- they don't seem to care nearly as much as they do at indoor arenas and stuff.

Hide it inside your bra, and if anybody tries to take it scream rape :smug: That´s my plan

BTW that was not my idea, I got that idea from someone on coldplaying, don´t remember who it was though

Hey I came across this in the FAQ's for Tampa Ford Amphitheater.

"Items not allowed in this venue include professional cameras with S, M, or L detachable lenses, audio and video recorders, alcoholic beverages or soft drinks, large or hard coolers, weapons of any kind (this includes pocket knives and watch chains), laser pointers, and glass or metal containers."

It sounds like you *can bring in cameras with detachable lenses, just not professional cameras. I have a Nikon D40, and have a detachable zoom, Nikon DX 55-200mm but it's just a beginner dslr. http://www.nikonusa.com/Assets/Digital-SLR/25420-Nikon-D40/Views/353_25420_D40_right_d.jpg with this lens http://www.nikonusa.com/Assets/Camera-Lenses/2156_AF-S-DX-Zoom-NIKKOR-55-200mm-f-4-5.6G-ED/Views/353_2156_AF-S-DX-Zoom-NIKKOR-55-200mm-f-4-5.6G-ED_front.jpg

I'm going to bring it to Tampa and print out the faq's just in case they give me any trouble. No way am I going to be in the pit without my good camera!

DSLR cameras at Wembley

Just curious if they are allowed into the stadium for concerts. Consider my myself an amateur photographer and have a mid-level Canon DSLR that I would like to bring, if not only for the concert but to take picture of the facility and experience in general as I am coming from the U.S. However, I will be taking the train from Central London for the show and won't have many options should I be turned away. Any advice is appreciated.

I don't think so. They say no professional cameras. But, you are allowed to have digitals.

it would have to be very well hidden. Would depend on how frisky the security decide to be on that day. From previous experience they search people AFTER the ticket barriers at Wembley.

I will be trying to get my bridge camera in and in case the security complains about it being too big, I am going to show them the paper I have printed out with the a. m. guidelines (i. e. Professional Cameras = cameras with changable lenses) ;)

Hopefully that will silence them :D
