No new songs i think...it was released in Germany on July, 11th, with the radio version (not the new edit version - it lasts 3.45) and the album one...if i have more news, i will post them...

That'd just be the radio promo though, Amazon don't stock promos. I recon there's new music to be had in future, at least I hope there is! The pessimist in me however thinks it might be just Lovers In Japan (acoustic) or something, but that still wouldn't be bad.

got to agree i dont think this will be anything more than original and radio edit...

i dont think it would make sense for it to be acoustic lovers in japan because that's likely to be a single, so if they did a 2 song CD for that they'd want to use album and acoustic

 

but who knows, hopefully its a new song

It's very rare for a commercial CD single to only contain the radio edit and album version, isn't there a chart rule saying there must be at least 1 different track? Not that they need the VLV CD single to chart now anyway. And with the Lovers In Japan thing, isn't Lost! supposed to be a single? And Lost? was a b-side to Violet Hill so...

 

The other thing with the LIJ acoustic is that it was iTunes pre-order only, so unless theres some other store which stocks it atm it'll be impossible for fans to get the track legitimately (EMI still hope people buy music nowadays). Though I would MUCH prefer a new track, LIJ acoustic wouldn't surprise me.

 

But yeah, here's hoping Coldplay dish out a new or leftover track for us!

I'm sure there's a lot of songs we haven't heard yet. Wasn't there something out that said they were BACK in the studio already recording other songs? I was reading the older Q magazine and it really got me interested in hearing Glass of Water. I doubt it'll be more than just the same song. the Violet Hill single just had Violet Hill and Lost? (which is the bonus song from the iTunes pre-order). Maybe they're holding back on all the b-sides and release at the end of the summer as ANOTHER album!!!! :)

I was really hoping to get another song! I agree with Lore, it's been a lifetime since we got VLVODAAHF...

There's probably someone on this forum who's pre-ordered it. I don't think for one second that it could be two practically the same versions of VLV. It can be 'Death Will Never Conquer' or something different, so fingers crossed:D, I can't wait to hear a new track yeah!:D
