Butterfly confetti- yes or no?

Featured Replies

I started laughing so hard at some of those butterfly stories. Im sure its awful - I know I freak in enough situations.

Ive not seen the confetti in person - but I LOVE confetti. Actually - if anyone has ever seen Im From Barcelona in concert - they should know all about confetti. There are beach balls and so much confetti Im still finding it in my purse months and months later. It was awesome and brought back all my child like memories of snow ball fights but with confetti. Purely awesome!

Now time to read some butterfly stories and try not to die laughing.

It is NOT a little bit funny...I have a couple of small phobias myself and we all understand how crippling they can be if serious, but the way that's written...

it's hilarious :laugh3:

Best of all was one of the responses, something like 'you guys are lucky to have kids for that purpose, I have to use strangers'!! Hehe.

!

I _knew_ I shouldnt have gone to the website but I had to read some of this for myself. I think I died laughing with my eyes watering non stop so i had to close the page, not before sharing it with all my friends. Im so telling my friends with kids how lucky they are to have them for that reason. Even the moms seem to realize they are complete nuts about this problem. I feel this way about rats and cockroaches - and can escape neither in NYC. i had to walk 2 extra blocks out of the way because I saw a rat - mind you they are like small cats here.

i hope im not near someone who has this fear when I see them in concert. I might die laughing at that very moment and miss the rest of the coldplay concert.

I like Lauve's statement about enjoying the colours and getting in touch with your inner child - I think that's a very Chris Martin state-of-mind.

As for how they'll work in a big arena - I'm in the 18th row, so I'll let you know! I hope some of them reach me, but then I won't see it so well. The people at the back will get the best view, the people at the front will get the best feeling.

140 days and counting...

Mmmhmm! :smug:

The inner-child knows well the simplistic things in life that are enjoyable.

being a guy i find it extremely feminine to have butterfly confetti fall down, i mean confetti maybe but butterflies? is it me or is it not a unisex figure....because if you say its unisex then i want all you girls to say what you think of a guy with a tattoo of a butterly

Yes,yes, yes for butterfly confetti!

(I'm a guy btw)

it better be a 'kick-ass' kind of butterfly :dozey:

some of the guys i've seen at the gigs went all 'giddy' about the butterflies (moreso in a laughable way.

others were enjoying the moment with their significant other (whether that be gf/wife/etc.)

or restraining themselves into admitting that they were 'cool' :P

i'm not into butterflies, even though i'm a girl.

but the confetti during Lovers in Japan...was really nice. MUCH better than during Viva La Vida (from the MTV performance).

Yes, I loved it! I didn't think it was the best thing in the show though! It did look very beautiful though when they were fluttering through the air, especially the neon/glow in the dark ones! :D

It was awesome. Don't know what they spent on it but it is way better then the magic balls.

The butterfly confetti was beautiful. It was especially cool when the seeming blacklights came from the stage and made them into gorgeous colors.

:swoon

Im gonna see how cool it is in 10 days!

Cant wait!!

i think the magic balls are cool but not great but not for the show..............i miss the big screen........

Yes, the orbs are very neat. However, they did have a tendency to obstruct the view from the upper level seats directly opposite of the stage. I think perhaps in a smaller venue they would be quite a sight...but in a larger venue or stadium, they can actually keep some people from enjoying the show.

The butterflies were a pretty site...yah they looked cool with the backlights too! I grabbed some off the floor after the concert in the hallways since I was in the upper level seats and they didn't fall on me.

when I see them in december I'm up on the side, lower tier, so I very much doubt I will get any, but am looking forward to the butterfly experience!!!

^^^that's a really good idea!! :P

i'm seeing them in two days and i'm really excited for the butterfly confetti!! it looks so perty!!

After the show I saw the road crew using a leef blower to get all of it off the stage so they could pack up the equipment. :laugh3:

I ddi the baggie thing as well. I prolly looked kinda silly, and secuirity was staring at me...but oh well!

did you go on the 15th? what color shirt were you wearing?

LOL I think I remember seeing you! :stunned::D

when the first time i saw it on MTV movie awards , that itself went like a dream in my thought like the butterflies flying around when i and Chris are in middle.:sneaky:

Butterfly's were absolutely amazing when the blue lights come on towards the end of the song.. hard to explain but all the metallic butterfly's looked like they were emitting light and not really reflecting it.
