Coldplay, Elbow and TV On The Radio have been added to the new series of Later With Jools Holland on BBC2.

 

Coldplay, The Hold Steady and Glen Campbell play on October 7, while Elbow join David Gilmour on September 23.

 

October 14 stars Kaiser Chiefs, Seasick Steve, The Streets and TV On The Radio, with Friendly Fires on October 21. The series starts on September 16 with Kings Of Leon, Metallica and Fireman.

These days it's hard to get tickets, harder than even Top Gear which famously has a 18 month waiting list.

 

The past couple serieses of Jools Holland has been poor, since TOTP has gone, the BBC has made Jools put more pop acts on the show :(

Due to the popularity of Later With Jools Holland and to make the allocation of tickets fairer, BBC Studio Audiences are operating a random draws for the second time this series.

 

To enter the second Later With Jools Holland random draw for 2008, phonelines and email registration forms will be open from 9am on Tuesday 23 September and will remain open until 5pm on Friday 26 September.

 

No applications will be processed before or after these dates and times.

 

Please also note that applications for tickets will only be received by telephone and via the website.

 

You can apply at any time between the above dates and times as all successful applicants for the second random draw will be randomly selected on Monday 29 September.

 

You may only apply for one date and will be allocated 2 tickets for that date.

 

In your application please provide all contact information including email and a daytime contact number.

 

Please note that entering the random draw does not guarantee tickets and you will only be notified of your successful application by email the week preceding the recording date of your choice.

yay! I love jools holland. I love that's a music-oriented show and not some talk show where they're given a tiny 4 minute slot at the end of the show.

I kinda hope they don't do VLV. Is too overplayed, there's no need to play it live, esp when the audience aren't going to sing along.
