Tips for Meeting the Band?

 

So I'm going to the dress rehearsal for SNL on October 25th, and I was wondering if anyone who has been to a show taping of this sort has any tips on how to somehow meet the band... I'm sure there's a stage door I can hang around, but I really don't know how to do this stuff! I've never been to any kind of show taping either, so I'm completely clueless. I feel like it might be easier to meet them at the rehearsal because it's more relaxed and there's not a full audience, but I'm really not sure.

 

And if anyone also has tips on how to get pictures when there are no cameras/phones allowed... I think that's a lost cause though :rolleyes:

I'm very determined to take full advantage of the opportunity when I'm at SNL! I've never met ANYONE remotely famous/important/that I love before, and it's my ultimate dream to meet Coldplay (well, isn't it everyone's?)... It's definitely the best chance I have to meet them.

I just went to see Travis in London and Chris was there...... I didn't see him, but Sarah and Felix met him after the gig!

Well that would DEFINITELY never happen to me, as I have the worst luck on earth! I guess my best bet is to hunt down the stage door (where IS the SNL stage door, anyway?), and wait there all day :P

for me, it was purely luck...it was during the tonight show taping in july. the staff told a bunch of us that bands rarely come out during soundcheck to sign autographs and take photos, but the guys did come out! it was so surreal...they were so sweet...they've definitely met my expectations!

Surely the easiest way is to get there early, OR to stay around late.

 

Make sure to hang around at the artist entrance , at the area where the tourbusses are parked.

Holding a sign could be helpful, as long as it doesn't read: MARRY ME, GUY

 

 

That last sentence is truly great advice. Nothing scares a male more than a "marry me" sign from a random (possibly crazy) woman :laugh3:
