they should understand that it's a coldplaying project and shouldnt mind putting the coldplaying logo.. if they dont well, they should take part in.. :uhoh:

but afterall it's all about Coldplay and being a dedicated fan .. so they should put all their efforts in making this happen and agree with our plan :)

Sender - Our name or just the statement "Postcard from far away"

Butterfly - (we have to discuss this a bit more... there are a few possibilities, drawing one on your own on the postcard, printing one and sticking it on the postcard, do we want to use the same or everyone a personal one?)

Message - How about the phrase in our native language? Do we want to do that or not? If yes, we have to find a phrase yet.

let's focus and concentrate on the main points: the pionts you mentioned.

 

for the thing with the butterfly: let's use a template.

that:

makes it easier.

and

all postcards will look the same - which underlines our intention and action.

sender - nick plus from far away

butterfly - whatever u decide

message - in english. at the end a thank you in our native language.

I think that everyone can send a postal they like.. butterfly shaped or not.. maybe you want to show them your country or something :P

but we'll need a little logo to put into the postcards... maybe a butterfly or something related to this site

 

and about the phrase.. I think that only if people wants they can write a phrase in their own language.. that's a personal choice

in some ways i want it to just be coldplaying, but i have to say the more the merrier. i don't think the band will really care exactly what site the postcard-writers come from; i think they'll be even more impressed if its a bigger number.

as far as the template goes, the agreement (so far) seems to be that the template is optional, because at least i think that originality is key in this project. however, every postcard will have the same logo on it, which will make them all obviously from the same project. there's a logo in the first post so far, but i think we're hoping to get a couple more that we can vote on.

i personally don't remember seeing a mailbox/slot when semy and i were there, but i trust lori, and kimchi is going on friday to scope it all out for us. we'll have a definite yes or no on the mailslot this weekend!

this weekend, i plan to *try* to create a potential logo (maybe with semy's help) based on this format:

 

i was thinking a butterfly or the red and black VIVA stripe logo in the middleof the square stamp, and then instead of whatever it says around the edges of the circle, have it say "POSTCARDS FROM FAR AWAY PROJECT" and then maybe "COLDPLAYING.COM" in the center. who knows if i can even pull that off, though, with my limited photoshop skills :P

we have to wait to decide the delivery method but we could start to think about the postcard itself

 

since we said that all the postcards can be different there's no much to decide... only where will we write the "postcards from far away thing" and a logo..

 

ohh and the custom template too... it might be useful for those who don't know how to make the postcard :D
