they just know that debs is visiting that day, i'm pretty sure. hell, they might not even know yet, but i assume their manager or assistants or whatever will tell them a few days in advance that debs is coming round :dance:

^eh, i bet they're fine :D. there's no reason to assume they got lost, so i wouldn't worry too much.

 

in the spirit of giving of today and with giving all my other gifts, i now especially can't wait to get a report back from debs! :nice: i was reminded of how nice it feels, and i'm so excited for this.

should we do a poll to see who actually sent postcards and ask how many? i sent 2. i did not post them

'cause there are probably some lurkers who won't post that they've sent a card nor post the card itself.

 

So maybe a poll where they can vote anonymously is a great idea to get a clue of how many postcards were sent :)

 

Of course that gives no guarantee to get an accurate number of cards but maybe an idea where we are standing with it!? :)

I assume, that many people won't look in the old threads anymore once they've contributed their cards or messages.

 

So a new thread maybe gets also the attention of the lurkers?

I don't think we need more threads for this... there's nothing more to organize so the news could be here without any problem... we can edit the thread title if we get important news

i'd think it would be much better to be part of this thread, since that's where everyone already looks for project-related things, and it's stickied so it's always visible...no need to clutter up the forum with more threads about the same thing :wink:

 

but since lore doesn't agree, we're just going to wait on it.

I wouldn't worry about a thread - some people who initially said they would send a card probably haven't but similarly, I've seen several people post who got involved really late in the day. They hadn't been part of the initial discussion or poll, so in the end the two numbers probably even out.

 

Debs will give us a rough idea of numbers, that will be enough.

 

Be patient, people, really not long to wait now :)

I did send two postcards about two weeks ago but I didn't put them on here to show as I don't have a scanner or a digital camera and they weren't home made cards or anything special really.

 

One was a "Christmas greetings from Falmouth" one and I wrote and said that I first saw them at a tiny venue 11 miles from here and that I realise there's probably no chance of them coming back here now and how their music has helped me through a very difficult time etc.

 

The other one was a postcard I bought in Paris, just a normal touristy card and I said how brilliant the two Paris gigs were that I went to back in September and how glad I was that Chris thought they were the best gigs of the tour too. Basically I did a lot of thanking and praising them.

 

I wish I was more artistic, I can knit but didn't think a knitted postcard would work somehow!

So, on which date is Debs giving the postcards to Coldplay?

I don't think Debs would need a notification of the postcards that will arrive late.... I don't think she'll want to see her inbox full of "my postcard is late" mails :p

 

just send the postcards, that mail address won't expire in a certain date... it's now the official coldplay mailing address I think
