Heh yeah, I'm thrilled. I love upsets like this. His playing has improved asymptotically with this new coach.

 

I do feel a bit sorry for Murray but he's only 22, he's got plenty of time to do it again.

I just finished watching it, because on top of the delay I had it rewinded on DVR. It was a class match and I was so pleased with the way Roddick played, completely killing Murray's serve returns, even on second serve, playing comfortably from the baseline and knowing exactly when to come in to net. It was a very close, tactical match all around.

I'm so f*cking happy to see Roddick back in the final against Federer after those back-to-back finals four years ago. After that last point he had the same expression as the time he won the U.S Open.

I'm pretty sad that Murray lost. He has been playing very consistently this season and had the entire kingdom's hopes for a new British Wimbledon champion on his shoulders. But Roddick was undoubtedly in great form and he deserves the place in the finals against Federer.

 

Like you mentioned Jay, Murray's still young and would most likely have more opportunities to return in the future.

What the fuck? I know you aren't like obliged to support Murray, but why not?

Federer is gunna outclass him though, I feel.

I refuse to support someone who has openly expressed a hatred of England. Especially as his biggest tournament once a year is in the capital effing city of England, the guy should learn to keep his scottish mouth shut.

It was a great match, and Rod deserved to win as he was the better player on the day. His serve was devastating as usual.

Murray played well too, but failed to take the few chances he had.

He'll be back, though.

Now let's hope Rod can actually make a fight of it against Fed this time, as I don't want to see another one-sided final.;)
