February 18, 200917 yr Not even in 2020 when they are presented with the outstanding contribution to music award? Well lets hope that people in UK will realized their outstanding contribution to music before 2020!!!! :P
February 18, 200917 yr Not even in 2020 when they are presented with the outstanding contribution to music award? That would never happen! The brits have this filthy habit when they never recognise bands or people who are generally very very huge, Coldplay or U2 for instance. The reason you saw pet shop boys tonight is because they aren’t active anymore and basically not as big and popular. But in 2020, Coldplay will probably be even more successful and bigger ;)
February 18, 200917 yr Total collapse, guys!!! Let's go to Shepherd Bush Empire, and forget about this crash! VIVA - THE BEST FROM 2008, ANYWAY!!!
February 18, 200917 yr to be honest its no big deal, ive always thought the brits is a wank awards! this just proves it! no saying anything bad about duffy or GA or elbow... they should really think about adding and changing awards! its all too mixed!
February 18, 200917 yr Don't worry guys, they're our winners. Pop always get good phone vote response, there was deffo a metal fans online surge foe the Live act and as for the other two... Elbow are top so it's nice to get some recognition at last. But of course you can't give an award to both so all I can say is... ...just because you're losing doesn't mean you've lost. Even when you haven't, erm, actually won. true Debs. they are still winners :D and at first I was definitely upset, but Elbow are amazing.. so at least they lost to a great band
February 18, 200917 yr Where can e get some pics BTW? OMG this is so fuckin sad, unbelievable and most of all unfair!! :veryangry:
February 18, 200917 yr So... what have I missed? They didn't win anything? What the fuck?! How was the performance, at least?
February 18, 200917 yr  in 2020?? oh I'll be 33 then :uhoh: [/offtopic] Hahaha, I thought the same.. 'damn, i'll be old in 2020..' :laugh3: This is the most perfect thing I have read all day, hope the boys keep that in their minds. Thanks Chavi!! :) I'm sure they dont get much affected by these awards.. they all said they were gonna win nothing when they found out the many nominations. It would've been cool, but it's all fine in the end.. It doesnt mean they can't make good music, just means they're not better than the actual winners  haa, dont beat me up, I'm just kinda quoting Ellen Degeneres :D

(Wow, how many times have I said that in the past few months? :P) And they're definitely our winners, hooray! We should celebrate that instead of talking about the Brits :D
February 18, 200917 yr well im speechless...people in America recognise their talent but for some reason the UK cant see this. How can u put Coldplay and Girls Aloud in the same category its so different...no disrespect to Girls Aloud but Im stunned really I am stunned. Coldplay we love you and forget wat everyone else says...bring on wembley because the true fans love u and ur music...they didnt walk away with anything is a joke....why do people here in the UK not see how good they are.....Life In technicolor ii flopped for no reason unbelievable
February 18, 200917 yr I know you're right Chavi... (It just feels a bit unfair, cause they really are the best band in the world:D)
February 18, 200917 yr As much as I loooove Coldplay, Elbow who won best live act should have won best album. Congrats to them for winning best lvie act, their performance with the BBC orchestra was superb. Duffy is alright, but Elbow's album is just beautiful and should have won hands down. In a way, I'm glad Coldplay didn;t win for VLV. I think Coldplay have lost their original attraction (for me) with Viva La Vida, and tonight has reflected that. Sorry... I just love the Parachutes and AROBTTTH era and X and Y was just alright. Good one Elbow. Have a look at them they are really fab, and were at the Manchester festival with coldplay when Coldplay were signed, they go back a looong way. They are a Bury based band (in Manchester) and are really nice guys. Brits had a very Welsh theme tonight!
February 18, 200917 yr cool thanks for those pictures! :D :stunned: Wow Will is getting really beardy!
February 18, 200917 yr They got the most prestigious award in the world so i am happy for that. They won grammys.I don't care if they won or not any awards after that.
February 18, 200917 yr I think what Debs said is right, BUT, for us who actually live in the UK it is much more disappointing than others. Because its one of the most anticipated events and the hype here is unimaginable and we watch it live on TV and we expect it to be great and etc. Its like the british version of Grammys for us. So I think some of you should be more understanding of the fact that we are far more pissed off!
February 18, 200917 yr some pics  They look a bit nervous! Has anyone uploaded the performance yet? I'd love to see it...
