Fellow Coldplayers,

 

It's been a couple of months since our last musical mystery tour... let's beat the winter blues with another round of the Mixtape Exchange...

 

If you enjoy discovering new artists and sharing your own tastes with total strangers, this is the project for you! If you'd like to get involved, please take a look at the guidelines below (which I have sneakily adapted from Eglantine's ME 2 - sorry! :embarassed:)

 

Rules:

1. Sign up saying you want to participate - leave your name on the thread or PM me direct

2. When the deadline for signing up is over, you'll get a PM from me giving you the name of another participant in the Exchange. You will be making a mix for this person

3. You mustn't reveal who you are making the mix for

4. Make your mixtape (most Mixes last time were 40-60 mins long, I think) and delete the info for each song.

5. Upload the mixtape to something like rapidshare and send me the link. I will then send it to person assigned to you, keeping your identity a secret of course!

6. When you recieve a mixtape, listen to it, write a review and post it in this thread.

7. The person who made the mixtape will then post the tracklist and the link so everybody can download it. Simple as that.

 

 

The deadline for signing up is Friday 13th February (11pm GMT)

The deadline for receiving mixtapes is Sunday 1st March (11pm GMT)

I think everyone approaches it differently. Last time around I did a bit of research on my person... tailored it specifically to their taste... then they never picked the bloody thing up :cry:

It can be anything you like!

 

Personally, I loved that the last Mixtape I received contained so much music that I didn't recognise.

 

I think it's just nice to share something you love with somebody else...
