Alarm clock thread

Featured Replies

i wonder how we don't have an active thread (taking into account that coldplay's Clocks song :o ) about it.

so here comes a thread to talk about our alarm clocks :D

i use my mobile for that since long ago.

i used to had coldplay's clocks song for that option :p

now i have "superstars" by david fonseca (morning alarm clock)

and "only pain is real" by silence 4 (after siesta alarm)

My alarm clock is my mobile phone.

I use the pre-built in ringtones, during the week under alarm clock "get up you lazy fucker" I use the tone known as "Sharp Edge". At weekends I use the tone known as "Nocturne".

Mobile phone - Viva la Vida :D

Mobile Phone - Clocks!

i use two alarm clocks just to make sure i actually wake up.

One is my phone's alarm (just a normal beeping sound) and the other one is just a regular alarm clock i got for free somewhere.

Because of many previous failures, I always use both my standard digital alarm clock and my cell phone (usually with the ringtone for "inni mer syngur vitleysingur" - Sigur Ros), both set within a minute of the same time. For christmas I got a clock that displays a light on the ceiling of my room, but I still haven't figured out to how to set it correctly.

My brother has one of those projector clocks, very useful when you wake up during the night.

I used to use an actual alarm clock, but it's weird and sometimes it goes off and sometimes it doesn't, so I just use my cellphone.

I've got an alarm clock. I always turn off my mobile phone before I go to bed.

I want to get "Never Gonna Give You Up" as my ringtone. So then I can rick roll myself and others when my phone rings.

my alarm clock is an ihome, and i have a long playlist of good songs to wake up to on random, so i have a different song every day. i'm weird, though, and i have to let the entire song play through. i can't press snooze or anything and interrupt it . actually, i never press snooze. i always set my alarm to half an hour before i wake up, and then go back to sleep until my second alarm rings, which is just my watch alarm beeping. i'm actually really good about going back to sleep for exactly 30 mins and don't really need two alarms, but last semester i messed that up once and almost missed my arabic midterm, so it scared me into using two alarms.

last semester i had time to nap every day, and my alarm to wake me up was my phone, on "spies" :D

at home, my second alarm is one of those projector clocks, but without my glasses on, i can't read the time on the ceiling anyway :dozey:. i didn't make that connection until after i bought the thing

I use my ihome. right now the radio comes on to wake me up.

but usually in the summer i use my ipod, usually coldplay:)

unless its my last day of school or something, then sometimes i use island in the sun by weezer followed by surfwax america by weezer.

CD alarm clock, usually set with VLV to play LIT

also a cell phone alarm as back-up

(I suck at getting up)

i usually with my cellphone and it affects me a lot :)

Awesome :laugh4: I might steal your idea once I find some time for messing around with this song :p

So, alarm clocks. I have a normal mobile phone ringtone which wakes me up every morning. When I have exams though, I order someone to call and wake me up. I have a special profile for that and the ringtone i've set is Day Tripper by the Beatles. :D

i'm considering setting Gobbledigok by Sigur Rós as the default alarm clock song.

Wow, i always press snooze  it's just impossible for me to get up right after the alarm rings..

If i have to get up at 8 i set my phone's alarm at 7:45 and my other alarm at 8. So i just press the snooze every 3 mins til it's 8 haha. I sometimes switch the tv on after the first alarm too to help me to wake up.

i think i just don't like being interrupted every 10 minutes when i know i'm going to press it more than once anyway. i'd rather just have 30 minutes of uninterrupted sleeping then getting woken up three times in between :P
