Here's an idea let's all go take Ultravioletlight25 ( sorry idk yourname :() to a nearbuy bar/restaurant before the concert :P Ermm but I can't really advise you any places to eat since I don't usually dinne in the downtown. :shame: But if it helps me and my french class went to this french restaurant (which is not that far from Rogers Centre it's on Front St.) and it's called Le Pappilon or something. The desert there was pretty much the most amazing thing you'll ever taste:wacky: About sightseeing. Roger's Centre is RIGHT next to CN Tower, you could also visit the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), and ROM... Idk what kind of stuff are you looking for?
July 25, 200917 yr Definitely there's a TON of stuff you can do in Toronto, but you've got to narrow down what you want to do (i.e. sightseeing, shopping, neighbourhood strolling, entertainment)... You've got a few days to pack it in ;) I really [edit: never] get sick of living here.... unless if I've just gotten back from a trip to Montreal haha. That's another story
July 25, 200917 yr If it rains would they close the dome? I'm hoping it doesn't rain though as it will be my first time in Toronto. I don't think the dome will be open for the show, at least it wasn't for the last show I saw. But it was winter so maybe...

July 25, 200917 yr GIVE UNWANTED VOUCHERS TO CHARITIES Speaking of such vouchers, anyone want to buy mine? :D Being unable to even give away my Argo vouchers to friends and family (even those who are sports crazy), I decided that rather than just waste them, I'd give them to a charity.I gave mine to Toronto Community Living, but I'm sure that Big Brothers/Sisters or maybe one of the children's aid societies would gladly accept them for the people they serve. You might even get a tax receipt.

July 25, 200917 yr I had the same idea, my friend has her own charity and her family and someone else were hosting a golf tournament in like May, and there was a fancy dinner afterwards and silent auction to raise the money to send sick kids to camp, so I thought if I did have the vouchers I'd give them to her. But then I remembered that I didn't get my tickets through the Argos presale :shame: Everyone in this thread was so concerned about what to do with them, I seriously started thinking that I had a pair too. Btw if you don't sell them why don't you just go to a game :thinking:

I'm thinking of giving them to a friend for a present. I never thought of the charity idea but it's a great one to consider

And how can you get the tour merchandise...do they hand it out for free (like the copies of LeftRightLeftRight) or do you have to purchase them? Sorry, this is my first Coldplay concert. :P

Sorry, this is my first Coldplay concert. :P Doesn't really matter what time you show up if you have seats. They're reserved for you. They have little booths set up as soon as you enter the venue for merchandise and shit. But LeftRightLeftRight is supposed to be free, I don't know how that's going to work.
July 26, 200917 yr Those booths are way too crowded and they usually have only 1 or 2 guys working it. I had a hard time buying stuff at a Van Halen concert.

July 26, 200917 yr Has anyone ever been to a show at the Rogers Centre/SkyDome( for those of us who are a bit older) where the roof was open? If it has never happened before I fear it won't happen now, even tho that would make a beautiful show just all the more amazing.
July 26, 200917 yr What time are you guys going to be there for? I think we need to make a plan for that so everyone gets there at th same time I guess, haha. I suggest 2-3pm, unless you're planning to stand in line for 8 hours. :\
