I'm kinda relieved at this point.

 

I feel that at this moment, 'with so much stuff going on in my life, I'd rather wait to see them next year.

 

Meanwhile, I hope the refund process goes by smoothly. I plan to use the money to buy a lil' netbook :D

I can't believe it....I am going to be in a funk for weeks. This sucks.

First off, I made some really cool friends being attatched to the Tampa thread, getting to know everyone and planning our meetings for months before the show up to the postponement, we all gathered in "OUR" special thread sharing videos, pic's, experiences, and trash talk. It was a special thread. I was lucky enough to have won Tampa tickets, even tho I already had tickets to this show, everyone was so happy and hoping I would get to go backstage and meet the band. When it was postponed, the contest people and Arlene contacted me wanting to know if I wanted to go to Wembley, well, DUH.... My special friends were so excited for me, and wanted updates of my journey, and were just beside themselves for the thrill of a lifetime that was handed to me.

I feel like I have cheated my friends somehow...... We all were so hoping for a wonderful meet-up for talk, drinks, and the ultimate Coldplay experience. I get that, my friends who can't go to Wembley do not. I am very sad, even tho I am leaving in 2 day's for Wembley, my heart goes out to my friends I have made in "OUR" special thread.

Dianne, I know how bad this was for you, and I am sorry my friend, I will have a drink for you on Friday, and will try my hardest for a drumstick! Thanks for reading this, I just hope we all will have a chance of that "get-together" somewhere down the road..............

I have read about the Tampa cancellation and have just been reading your reactions to the cancellation! I am so sorry for you all and hope that there will be another chance for you to see Coldplay later.

 

And MartinFan - you do not need to feel that you cheated anyone. You were just wise enough to play safe and say "YES, thanks" to the offer of having a Wembley experience. I'm glad that you'll be able to enjoy the concert together with your husband.

 

And above all - you have all got to know each other much better than you would otherwise have.

Dianne, if there's any possible way for you to get a plane ticket and concert ticket, your more than welcome to stay in our room with us, that would save hotel costs, can't promise it will be too comfortable, but it might have a pull-out or couch, or you can sleep in the tub:(:kiss:

This was not the first time this has happened to me, probably won't be the last and I do 't know why they waited so long to announce it because I never believed they would reschedule. On the up side I sold my first pair of crap seats on stub hub and got the email that my credit card would be refunded the money and I don't have to mail back the tickets so I actually made $400+. Score!

I'm sorry it got cancelled guys. Hopefully the fellas will do something extra special when they come back :) Your ticket might be worth something someday too! I can't recall Coldplay actually ever cancelling a show. So you have a ticket for the only Coldplay show that never happened!

I know...I can get plane tix and 3 nights hotel through travelocity from Los Angeles to London for $1070. Dang, I wish our credit card bill wasn't so high last month, and quarterly taxes are due, and back to school expenses.

 

It's easy to get the Wembley tix, and they're CHEAP - way less than my Tampa pit ticket.

I second that Tracey. It has nice meeting fellow Coldplayers. I had hoped to meet you all in Tampa (maybe in 2 years when the next album is released?!?) but I hope we can all stay in touch here in the forum! have a blast at Wembley! and be safe!!

Coldplay Concert Canceled

 

Hi, Everyone!

 

I am new to Coldplaying.com, so this is of course my first post.

 

I received an email from live nation stating that the Tampa Bay Ford Amp. Concert has in fact been completely canceled. I was devastated. I've been listening to Coldplay since I was 12 years old (I'm 19 now).

 

This would have been the first time I ever had the chance to see them live.

 

I once heard that Coldplay had signed a recording contract that required them to put out 5 albums. So maybe one will come out within the nest couple of years, then I can finally see them!

I'm not relief at all (as some of you guys are). I'm so sad, upset, and disappointed at the same time. GGGRRRRR :cry::cry::cry::angry::angry::angry::confused:

 

I was looking forward to enjoy a Coldplay concert with die-hard fans.

But...there is still a small chance they might come if they do a Latinoamerican tour leg. Not likely, but let me dream... No official word on the band's site yet.

 

Tracey (Martinfan) I hope you have the best time of your life over there. I know you will get VIP seats ;) just keep us up to date with your trip. Have fun for all of us and don't feel guilty. We are happy for you :)

At least, we all got to know each other and I'm sure we will meet in a Coldplay gig sooner than later. :)
