Featured Replies

I'm going to call LiveNation tomorrow and find out what I need to do...because I will be mad as shit on Friday if I waste precious minutes on the wrong damn website. Btw how good are the presale seats? I haven't ever done it.

^yes, whoever buys a ticket the 12th MUST tell us :\

It's getting annoying.

this will be me so i'll tell u guys how it goes!

^please do call them to see what they say.

Yes, I worry that TicketRush would waste my precious minutes of sending me from their website to Live Nation, who then would send me to Ticketmaster.

Instead of just going to Ticketmaster and write password when asked for it.

Never done it either.

Other Coldplayers have said that they get decent close seats. Floor seats in this tour.

Problem is that you'll be fighting for pre=sale tix with the radio stations and God knows who else. It depends on how many pre-sale promotions are listed on Ticketmaster or Live Nation

In Tampa, there's only TicketRush and radio stations pre-sales listed so far.

Other venues have also Citi credit card users, and Ticketmaster internet pre-sale

Yeah, I registered with my local radio station for a password as well. I also entered a contest to win tickets for Coldplay (won't hold my breath on that one), but I will definitely post what they tell me tomorrow. I want all this sorted out before Friday.

Ok, so...

LiveNation ----> will sell tickets, but ONLY with Ticket Rush. You have to do it thru Ticket Rush, right?

Ticketmaster ----> will sell tickets, with or without Ticket Rush. More flexible

ok i don't think u need to go through ticketrush for the tickets..since when i hit buy now it takes me to live nation and u can buy tickets there since i clicked on other bands and i can buy them there..but i don't think live nation and ticketmaster would sell against each other but they might now since they are competing..but for the last show i did the presale with ticketmaster and just put the password in and it worked...i think in the end i will do ticketmaster and use livenation on my laptop and do both simultaneously

wait how do u get this radio password..please share with me..

There is usually a local radio station that sponsors the concert...I think it would be Kiss Fm with Ryan Seacrest since you live in SoCal. I just went to the website of a radio station which I thought may sponsor Coldplay and there was a picture of Coldplay and it said enter to win tickets so I entered that and registered. I'm waiting to see if they send me a password.

ok cool well if anything it will be kroq since they did the last one..sign up for it..they sent me a password last time..

^^^yeah, i would say just check the websites of stations that you hear Coldplay being played on.

So I'm going to make an outfit like the one Chris has and wear it to the concert so I can get noticed by event staff and get bumped up to front row!

so we're still waiting on Toronto dates to be posted? seems weird they haven't been, most presales start tomorrow at the earliest

I'm totally wearing my military-style purple jacket. I should add some color armbands :D

Oh, and we had a Mardi Gras-sort of parade on saturday, and my sister got a bead made of big pearls and four butterflies like the one at Coldplay's concerts. I want it to wear it, but she's going to the concert with me.

:shocked2: That's crazy!

Coldplayers, we're getting there!

I tried to buy tix for a Jack Mannequin's concert to see how the Ticket Rush thing worked, and this is what happened:

Apparently, you have to go thru TicketRush 1st.

On the concert list, the "Remind me" button should change into a "Buy Tickets"

Click that button, and it asks you for the password, then it sends you to Ticketmaster for the "LiveNation pre-sale."

Ticketmaster will ask you for the TicketRush password when looking for tickets.

Proceed as usual.

how did you get it? just by signing up with livenation?

I used to work for Ticketmaster and still retain some contacts, so I can just ask and I shall receive!

Unfortunately, most of the best seats have gone! Usual story I am afraid, sponsors etc...so the presale seats are very average, better seats will be on general sale.

^ :dozey: And that is how 50-yrs old with cheesy posters end up close to the stage [fact posted on a previous post here, not my opinion :P)

We could still try with the pre-sale, right?

ahh ok. so my chances are better with the general sale then? when I saw them in October I did pretty well with the presale...but all of this has me worried now! all I want are some good tickets =( and it'd be nice if everyone was on equal playing field but alas, that is not how things work.

^I'll try the pre-sale, and if I'm not happy, I'll do the general sale.

Also, I'll tell my sister to log on Ticketmaster at same time (Feb 20, 10am) to search for tickets simultaneously. And communicate thru our cell phones.

Another thing, I'll try to use that TicketRush thing for tickets for NC concerts this week.

This was posted by Brenda on the Houston concert thread:

Okay people so I e-mailed someone from Livenation about the presale thing and this is what she said:

Dear Brenda,

Thank you for contacting Live Nation Customer Care with your inquiry!

You can just visit http://www.livenation.com and find the event you are looking for. There will be a Ticket Rush presale password box to enter the presale password.

Please respond to this e-mail if we can be of further assistance regarding this or any other inquiry.

Sincerely,

Tara

Live Nation Customer Care

This means that we can buy tix thru Live Nation instead of TicketMaster.

I did notice that the pre-sale for Nickelback in Tampa is already up in Live Nation, BUT the concert is not even listed in Ticketmaster.

NOT all Coldplay concerts are listed on Ticketmaster.

I visited the TicketRush website and registered. Now each time I login, I see the following message:

"This month's password is VENUE. You must have this password when you place an order. Without it, you will not be able to purchase tickets."

So that's the monthly password. If somehow everyone gets a different password, then I can say OOPS! and register for another with another email address. But anyway, that's what is now on the TicketRush homepage when I login. So I guess I visit livenation.com the morning of the presale, then enter the TicketRush password in the appropriate box?

Hmm...

Yep, that's the password. And yes, that's what you're supposed to do the day of the presale. I'm not a 100% sure, but it sounds logical.

Just make sure you select the option "Ticket Rush" on Live Nation.

NOT all Coldplay concerts are listed on Ticketmaster.

I might be screwed up then since stupid LiveNation doesn't take international orders :bigcry: :bigcry:

I should try calling the venue as they suggested me, it would have been much easier with ticketmaster :\

Hmm... are there only certain sections of tickets sold thru LiveNation or what? I guess I just don't get why there isn't a presale thru Ticketmaster

There could be a presale on Ticketmaster, if only they posted the concert on their website. Right now, there's only four concerts posted on TM :\

really i think i would disagree even if u have worked with ticketmaster..since the last 2 presales i did i got several floor seat tickets..and i know not everyone likes for some reason but i love them!

not to disappoint i did this as well and this does happen...but i did another artist and forgot who it was but it let me go through ticketrush and select seats there so i think in some cases one can but tickets through there..but here is my suggestion for everyone if i ever clicked on a livenation link to buy tickets and they were also listed on ticketmaster it would always link me to ticketmaster so i say that u all try ticketmaster...well, if your event is listed on ticketmaster i think only 4 cp shows are listed on ticketmaster as of right now...
