I think basically anything other than a lawn seat would be pretty good at my venue, look how small it is, and the seats rise pretty sharply! I did the 3-D viewer, and most of the seats are really close...

Concert presales: Coldplay at the Gorge

 

Coldplay continues to bypass Seattle on its tour supporting “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends,” which won best rock album at Sunday’s Grammy ceremony.

 

But hey, good news, the group is playing a July show at the Gorge, a fittingly scenic space for its arena-sized anthems. Going to the show may mean taking a drive, but it should be worth the trip.

 

I saw Coldplay before, at an ampitheater show outside Milwaukee. At one point, frontman Chris Martin said we were the best audience on the whole tour. I thought, “In Milwaukee? Dubious.” But he delivered that old trope with such sunny conviction, you almost believed him.

 

Coldplay is not the only good concert going on sale this week. Ladytron and the Faint are teaming up for a pretty great double bill of indie dance music. And, for all those 1990s Seattle rock fans, Candlebox is playing an intimate show at Neumos.

Yep, Car ride is 13 hours or so. Even better, train ride is 16 hours and $104 for round trip.

On the coldplay site, it says the presale is on the 13th of Feb. for the Toronto show. It also notes that the venue still needs to be confirmed so maybe that's why they do not have it on either site. Hopefully they will show a right link soon or postpone the pre-sale for your show. ;)

Well, hopefully the rest of you had better luck than me! I think you could really only get a good seat if you were just purchasing 1 ticket. I'll be trying the general sale tomorrow for better seats. :D
