As far as I know Morten is going to release a solo album next year, Magne told us he's going to have a new art exhibition in Oslo at the end of November and musically speaking he will concentrate on Apparatjik for the next year, someone asked him if he's ever going to release another solo album, he said maybe but didn't seem to be that convinced.

Apparatjik World-less

 

I may be one of very few who listens to them here, but I am a big fan of Apparatjik's first album.

 

Frankly, I just don't understand. Why. WHY is the new album (Apparatjik World) only available on an app to people who have ipads. Is this legal? (metaphorically speaking of course). I really want this new album but I don't have an ipad. I can't imagine a band releasing to such a narrow demographic.

 

Any ideas on what us Apparatjik fans can do to get the album besides buying an ipad for one album? This may or may not qualify for it's own thread. I'm not completely sure. But I figured I'd go for it because the band is worth the potential wrongness of my thread.

Yep, I got it yesterday. Mainly it's just pictures of their performances in the cube and some other random things. The music is good, but it's less weird and more mainstream than We Are Here. They actually (no jokes) have a song called "Don't Eat The Whole Banana". No kidding. :awesome:

I downloaded it and I can definitely see why it's designed for an ipad, it's very high quality and interactive.

I've been scrolling through the pages for what feels like hours, all the features and pictures and videos are never ending... :P

The new bjork album is also doing this, but it´s also available to buy in stores so I´m sure it will do the same.

Yeah, if I had an iPad...but I'm not gonna spend at least 500€ just for this app, as cool as it seems to be.

 

The Banana song is the one they played in Graz, I wanna listen to them so I can understand which others they played that day, it seems they're gonna make the album availabe in a more common way soon, so I guess us iPad-deprived have to wait a little bit more :shrug:
