FUCK THIS SHIT! tried presale, was on hitting refresh every 2 seconds from 9:55 on. 10:00 rolls around and i get on and it took me until 10:03 to get through to about 80 rows back. error, error, error. FUCK YOU FUCKERS! as much as i love coldplay, i'm tempted to not see them live. this is bullshit and a ripoff. i want front section tickets and it's impossible to get them. it's not fair. i'm goddamn fucking pissed.

You would think PIT means no seats but it says row 1 seat 21? Did I just hit the ticket lottery!?

For GA pit tickets, they assign a row and seat number for inventory purposes. There are no seats. Have fun in the pit!

This is for the Nissan Pavilion show in Virginia.

yea, im going to the virginia show. i got tickets through the presale yesterday, but now i can get pit tickets. i think im gonna get the pit seats and sell the others

Ok so apparently a lot of people are having problems with the presale tickets, as did I. First of all, I was trying to get tickets for the New Orleans, LA Coldplay show.

Here is my story and what I did to fix it:

This morning at 10:00am, I went to TicketRush saw that the presale tickets went on sale so I clicked the link to purchase the tickets--it redirected me to TicketMaster's website where I had to put in the password STRINGS to be able to purchase presale tickets.

Between me, my wife, and a couple buddies at work, we all searched for best available seats and the only sections it was giving us to choose from were the 300 sections (highest at the NO arena), instead of the 100 sections. So, we refined our searches to try and see if we can specifically choose the 100 sections but every time it kept saying no seats available. So after about 30 minutes of non stop searching, trying different patterns, etc. the best we could get was like section 312. So... I decided to pull the trigger and purchase 3 seats in the 300 section.

After my order was complete, I was still curious and went back to Ticketmaster and did a search for the best available seats--low and behold, it shows availability in the 100 sections. I did probably 10 more searches only to keep getting told that the best available seats were sections 100 (it would show 102, 107, 101, etc so there were many sections still with availability from what I could tell). Being upset as I was, I tried to call the local TicketMaster office -- being that it was presale, they claimed the STRINGS password was incorrect (which we know it is not incorrect but it wouldn't work for him over the phone). I asked him to check the best availability and he said it only showed him the 300 section. So now I'm like WTF...

Sooo.... I decided to go ahead and purchase the 3 tickets I currently had reserved on the website in section 102 club level, row 7 (in addition to the other order I already had for the 3 seats in section 312). The purchase went through and I got confirmation about my 3 seats in section 102 club level.

Now being upset that I had 3 tickets in 102 and 3 tickets in 312, I tried to see what could be done to get a refund on my section 312 tickets.

I called TicketMaster's Customer Service line that is only available to those with inquiries on previously placed orders only -- 800-653-8000. I explained my situation to the first rep (telling her that I was getting faulty information from the website, in addition to my local TicketMaster office) and that I thought it was unfair that after I was "forced" into the 300 sections, all of a sudden 100 sections became available (and not just one, MANY). She had no clue what to do and told me over and over that because I placed the order online, they would be _unable_ to give refunds or exchanges.

Still being polite, I explained the situation again and also questioned about the TicketMaster Event Ticket insurance. According to the website, insurance can be added on tickets even after purchase for around $6 per ticket and if you can't make the event or you cancel, you will get a full refund. She was still confused and didn't even know you could add insurance after the fact.

So, I politely explained my dissatisfaction about the whole situation and told her that SOMETHING had to be done.... She forwarded me to another Customer Service Rep who listened very carefully to what I had to say.

After a short while of her doing research, pulling up my account, etc. she finally came back on the line and said she was getting a Manager for a refund approval -- 5 minutes later I had a manager on the line pushing my refund through for my 300 section order. They still charged me a $4.05 processing fee but ultimately refunded everything else.

So now I have my three tickets in section 102 and have my order canceled for my tickets in section 312.

For those looking to do I have done, BE VERY POLITE, CALM, and PATIENT. I think my good attitude and information on hand is what got my refund pushed through.

I hope this helps some of you...

Is There A Contact Email For Coldplay Management?

I'm writing a letter in disgust of these ticket sales and how nothing is ever available. It's not fair and they're pissing me off so bad I could kill someone. First second of presales for Atlanta and I get back of 2nd section and first second of the general sale gives you very back of seating then lawn 2 minutes in. But a scalper has 20 seats together in 12th row front and center. It's not fair. What's the point?

ah, while it's still not right, i got pit seats (or lackthereof). i would still like to know how those scalpers get all those tickets.

my problem is that i don't know where to send it! i'm not going to be nasty but this is crap. being like that to your fans is not a good way to keep people liking you.

^Librahi, you got Pit tickets for which concert?

Gosh, what pisses me off is the only a few venues have a Pit area.

If all the venues had a Pit, then I would be as mad as I get sometimes.

I don't get it, No Doubt will be here on June, and there is a pit, and you can buy the ticket and wait in line for hours like a mega fan will do.

Why Coldplay didn't demand having a Pit at every venue?

the pit i got was in atlanta, 3 tix. i was choosing best avail. and i was getting lawn. i was so mad and someone on here in the atl thread told me to select pit and i got 2, then went back and got 1 more. awesome. finally.

librahi, the problem isn't to do with coldplay it's to do with shiticketmaster holding back the prime seats for either auctions or to pass onto for sale onto it's secondary market sites.

Everybody knows that they do it to get extra money from fans wanting the best seats, selling them not on the main site for normal prices, but selling them on the 2nd hand sites for massive mark-ups.

Well it's ticket scalping and auction so people can get more money.

I'm realizing that it doesn't matter if you're in first, You're most likely NOT going to be able to get good seats EVEN if it's presale. Because the sellers hold back or there are ticket scalpers who are able to get better seats.

Hi everyone!

I would really appreciate some advice on ticket purchasing. Like most of you, I'm not having any luck with the presale for Coldplay tickets. /QUOTE]

I feel no 1 reads the threads before asking such questions...As i started when i started this thread is to never buy tickets from presales, if you do not only are you going to get crummy seats but youll end up paying the same as you would for great seats the day the tickets go on sale, live nation/ticketmaster only allows 'some sections' to be available for sale on a presale and 'all' the tickets to go on sale the day they release them to the public. If you want the best seats, take it from me. DO NOT BUY TICKETS ON THE PRESALES AND WAIT TILL THE DAY THEY GO ON SALE!

I was offered ridiculas seats (as what started the post) the day of the presale which i turned down. And today when they went on sale to the general public i ended up with pit seats...

Just see what time the tickets go on sale to the general public. Be 5 minutes early on Livenation's or Ticketmasters website and keep hitting refresh. Once you see the link that says buy ticket(as it will light up as soon as they go on sale to the public) click it , then on the next page select the highest priced ticket. Your bound to get the best seats possible if you do it quick enough!

.....I cant believe i started this post and i have over 100 replys to it , hehe. I really hope i helped some people out as to my story though. Good luck everyone and let me know if your seeing coldplay in pittsburgh and will be in the Pit!

Exceptionally wrong information. I've never been able to get "great" seats on Ticketbastard even when I'm ALWAYS refreshing as soon as tickets go on sale. It's just not possible. For example, general sale for Scranton, PA...I submitted my request at 11:00:04 (checked my page logs in my browser), and you know what I got? Section 103, Row HH. Yes, in the front section, but the absolute LAST row. And certainly not worth 130 bucks when the seats on the other side of the aisle behind me would have been 30 dollars cheaper. Ridiculous.

I have a question for those who got Pit tickets:

did they showed up only on the general sale?

what did the website and the seating map showed for the pre-sale?

I ask because tomorrow it's West Palm's general sale. I hope there will be a pit. Otherwise, I'll buy a pit ticket in Atlanta or DC, if they are still any left tomorrow.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here. Lately all tickets for high demand areas they are playing are selling out what few decent seats they have during pre-sale. A good example was the shoreline amphitheater in SF California. I didn't even attempt pre-sale and the second they went on sale all options except lawn were removed. Thats right, you weren't even given an option to look for better. Something like 2 days later the option to search came back up, but they say they are sold out completly. Now with areas where the demand to see them might be less like Sacramento for example, it was easier to snag a just mildly crappy seat. But I have seen no indications of people having better luck on the general sales. At least not on this leg of the tour. I know last summer it was a hell of a lot easier to get a ticket. And even the scalpers weren't charging as much.

I have a question for those who got Pit tickets:

did they showed up only on the general sale?

they were listed in the presale but none were available. and when you select best available, it does not give you pit seats! you have to select pit.
