i LOVE ALL Coldplay songs!!! YAYS!!!

The words don't really matter, melody is the important thing. Its the band's little shoe-gaze experiment where you should just treat the vocals as another instrument, no more important than the guitars.

 

Not saying you should like it now, or that it isn't annoying. Just that its easier to enjoy when you don't worry about the actual words.

 

Yeah... I do like that song though... It's just that I have to be in a certain mood because it is a rather noisy song... I love Jonny's soaring guitar bit anyway!

I don't *hate* Fix You but it is insaaaaaaaanely overrated. DAYLIGHT > Fix You. Daylight is GOOD SONG. Fix You is GOOD SONG BUT OVERRATED. It is not fantastic. And overrated songs, well, do not want.

I used to cry to Fix You everytime it came on. Lol. Call me sentimental. But i agree with Cobalt. It is overrated, and the song now has no affect on me at all. The live version though... that's a different story.

it's really good and all, but i dont go insane over it like so many people. and i dont think it's one of their best songs, like most people do, so yah....overrated.

The album version of Fix You is pretty good, but the live version just gives me shivers because i love when everyone sings together.

Have you never heard an electric guitar before? and of course Chinese Sleep Chant is a song.

i can't really stand the scientist, too long and boring for me. and... hm... reign of love is a strange track to be on VLV, it's not good enough and it does not fit (now Nick you can start an argue again :lo.)

I am "going back to the start" with A Whisper... really skip it all the time! Reign Of Love is OK but agree, does not fit on the album. I would not miss it if I never heard it again.

I always saw Reign of Love as an interlude between the first and second halves of the album. Plus its very soothing and melodic. Taking it off of VLV is like taking Parachutes off of Parachutes.

Parachutes is so much better, though... I would say it's much more important considering that it's the title song and not a hidden track. But I do get what you're saying, yeah.

There isn't a song I CAN'T STAND, but I do not like "A Whisper" that much.

If we put a poll in here, A Whisper would win by a landslide

why everybody seems to dislike a whisper? it's rocky, catchy and it completely fits with the album, and the final riff is fantastic! the lyrics are good too.
